I haven't seen any of the pre-season but Murray was simply awesome today, chased every ball, won tackles, scored a goal and probably should have scored another. All in all, a great showing from the young lad. Murray if you're reading.... I'M VERY VERY IMPRESSED!
point on the board, lets kick on from here

Murray Davidson. I think he's the real deal. Good defensively and offensively. Brilliant timing in his tackles, tracks the path of the ball really well and nicked it off players because of it, strong running and control going forward, he can pass and he showed he's got a decent shot on him as well. Nearly perfect performance today IMO. Well done Murray, more of the same please! :)

Bit random but for trips like next week at celtic park I wish Rusty was back.

Never mind Griffiths, Davidson was Livi's gem and he was the best player on the park by a mile today.

Hardly breaking the boundaries by saying this, but has to be Davidson.

No, I won't. Murray Davidson, we salute you.

Obviously I didnt watch the game, but listening to it on the internet and the reactions mean Murray Davidson deserves it.
Will confirm after I watch it later

Davidson was very impressive and got my vote. Special mention to Morris though, who used the ball well and held the middle of the team together.

Muzz for me but only just from Gartland who I thought showed more for us today than he did in all his appearances last season.

Davidson was excellent and so was Morris - what a fantastic centre midfield.

Murray again for me although if Gartland had been as solid in the second as he was in the first i would of voted for him.

Davidson, everyone put in a good shift but Davidson was definetly the stand out, his reading of the game was great and he was very positive going forward, just what we need.

Pillock! ;-)
Davidson by a mile. Morais may have ran him close if he lasted 90 minutes though.

Glad to see Muzza playing as well for you as he did for us. He has the potential to go to the very top in my opinion and at £50k was a total steal for you - hope we have a sell-on clause (but knowing our history of mis-management I guess we wont:cry:).
Good luck for the season ahead saintees

Cheers for that.
First time I've seen him in a Saints' strip. He was the outstanding player on view. I think he will thrive having Jody Morris as his minder.
Jody was superb as well.

Davidson definitely. Morris was also good & Gartland particularly in the 1st half. Thought Deuchars was a bit disappointing (missed that chance in the 2nd half!).

No brainer - Murray Davidson. Pity he hadnt burst the net at 1-0 although the ball was behind him. Looked easier at the game than on the TV.
Amazed he lasted the 90 mins. He covered every blade three times over and took a sore one at the second goal.
Jody looked good as well after a cold start.

thought murray was incredible today, real gem of a player and imo our best midfielder if he can keep this up
must be worth about 10 mil by now :)

Can`t add anything to that. Good piece of business by Del.

It was a difficult one between Morris and Davidson for me. Because he scored a goal, I've given it to Davidson. I think Morris is going to be a big, big player for us this season though. It comes effortlessly to him. Pray for no injuries!
Main.
took some good goal kicks today.

Is listening to the whole game on Sportsound, criteria enough to vote for MoM ? I have been critical in the past of people voting that have neither been at the game or watching on TV or radio so just been careful to what is acceptable with other forumers ??

Radfords call, but is that not why the 'Not at game' category was introduced after the row last season over people voting who had only been picking up updates form the radio?

Radford's call...
I don't feel it's my place to dictate who can and can't vote. Hopefully folk can pick up the general vibe of what's right. I think come May the right man will come out on top whatever happens but it's hardly a scientific measurement. Every week, Paul Sheerin votes for himself and MUZZ votes for Alan Main. Mind you, I've heard Alan Main say he'd vote for MUZZ if he was included in the poll.
I certainly have no problem with folk voting if they've listened to the full match on the radio, although you are then placing a lot of trust in Sandy Clark's interpretation of things!
I voted for Davidson yesterday, like it would seem virtually everyone else. He was energetic, aggressive and got into great attacking areas. Thought the two centre backs did quite well and Morris as well though.

I think your comment on interpreting the broadcasters biased views could on occasion be misleading and agree may then not give the best assessment for voting. The excitement of Saints being in the SPL does not stop at some imaginary 10 mile boundary around St johns kirk. I think the interest of overseas fans and even further afield fans in the UK will increase this season and I am sure everone agrees that can only be a good thing. There are a wee band of us just now that have over the past few seasons cowered over the computer screens awaiting news, please don't forget us. I will wait in great excitement to the first SPL live game in Singapore, October at home against Rangers and be very proud and excited to give my MoM vote then. C'Mon the Saints !

Davidson, went a bit quiet in the second half, but overall very impressive. Not afraid to stick his head in! Morris a close second.
