Absolutely gutted to have missed this, from what I've heard every player put in a shift and did us proud. Kudos to Del and Doc especially.

Alzo for me!
I feel his save at the penalty was a turning point and he had a couple others too.
Credit to Swankie also, if he always puts in that amount of effort he'll be a starter more often than not.

Ive went for Gartland the guy was excellent in the air, a bit to enthusiastic at times but you cant fault him for that. Main was superb to and wee jody was his usual busy and tireless self. great team display and hopefully sets us up nicely for the game on saturday. c'mon ye saints!

Jody put in a great shift & probably should remain captain after Ruti comes back as he pulls the strings.

I think there were several players that could easily get my vote but am going for Ando, just because he has been a bit part player for a while and did a great job tonight.

Has to be Jody but Davidson was also outstanding.

Jody was great and earned every inch of his hefty wages tonight, Maino was back to his old self in the sticks, Swankie stepped up to the mark excellently and Deuchar ran his heart out for the team and won everthing asked of him but for Ando to step into matches time after time like he did tonight and in other occasions he always steps up to the mark. Great attitude, talented player and good performance tonight. We are blessed to have him as 'back up'

Doc, led the line exceptionally. Won everything in the air. Bamba and murray were great on sat, tonight average! Alan main second for vital pen save that changed the result of the game!
I went for Davidson. He and Jody are absolutely immense as a partnership, and long may they stay fit!
Not really a failure all night though.

Great performance all round. Deuchar played well as did Davidson - timing of tackles are excellent - seems to win loads of 50:50 challenges. Scored 3 but had so many other chances could have buried them earlier.
I thought Anderson was great tonight and shows he can do a good shift for us. Hard playing second fiddle. Miller took goal well and full of running when he came on and hopefully injury concerns have passed.

Has to be Swankie for me. Between him and Ando for me, both being bit-part players not only this season but last season too, coming in and doing a fantastic job. Swankies goal swung it for me as well as Ando's poor distribution of the ball on occasions, although he made 2 or 3 fantastic balls upfield.
Best of the rest are Morris, Main and Craig.
Not a good game for Muzz by many accounts.. made a couple of good challenges in midfield but he sent the ball backwards more than forwards.. and this coupled with his howler of a miss stood out for me.
A win against a great team who didnt play as great as their attributes suggest. They didnt seem to be up for it, we did.. this being the difference. United will prove tougher opposition on Saturday I believe and will settle for a point but for now I'm going to enjoy tonights win!
geoff was right!!

Credit to the whole team with some great performances but thought the turning point was the penalty save so i'm going for Alan Main.

I felt this too and have been surprised by some of the positive words used to describe his performance. He made some decent tackles but seemed to hesitate when on the ball and I felt he was occasionally negative in his play.
I'll still have him down second on my team sheet, he's set a high standard so far but everyone can be expected to have an off day occasionally.

Talking about pointless posts!
Get a life! It was a joke!
I found it hrd to decide myself between him, Davidson and Jody

I love how people have decided to pick 101 as a pariah for no particular reason other than he has slightly controversial opinions.

Fuxake guys lighten up.. He put a smiley at the end..Don't take everything so seriously:wink:
I struggled to choose from a few. Toss up between Swankie & Gartland but opted for Swankie.
Grabbed his oportunity to get back in the team with both hands and scored a technically brilliant goal. Del has much to think about.
Gartland is a beast at the back & wins almost everything that comes anywhere near him. The way he plays the game it's inevitable he'll make rash challenges. Rusti will struggle to get back in the team unless Gartland is suspended.
Contrary to popular opinion I thought Jody was good but nothing more. He gave the ball away with bad passes quite a few times, which isn't like him. Brilliant goal though.
Davidson was his usual self: breaking up lots of the play, getting forward at every oportunity and ran himself into the ground. Ok he missed a sitter but he'll get us goals regularly IMO.
