Copied from wesite for info:

After a very quiet October month where we never managed to get any games played due to the return with the 208 Saints falling through we are pleased to report that we get back to buisness against our old friends from the Social Work on Sunday 1ST NOVEMBER KICK OFF 3PM at McDiarmid Park astroturf. The Squad will be minus Steve Macphee (Holiday), Ian Strawson (Illness) Whilst Grant Morrison is doubtful at this time. We will also have 3 new players as Ian Hutchison steps up from the monday squad, Andy O'Brian who returns from the days of the old Saints Supporters team, and we would like to take this opportunity to welcome him back to the fold. The third new face is young Ben Petrie who joins us from the Ormond Saints academy otherwise known as Bells Sports Centre.

Our last game against the Social Work was back in the early summer, where on a scorching hot Letham day at Seven Acres we succumbed to two late goals in a 2-0 loss. On the day it was evenly matched in terms of chances but despite a rally towards the end we just couldn't grab an equaliser and the Social Work broke away in added time to seal the win. Previous to that we played them at McDiarmid earlier in the year and again lost, this time 3-0.

After the game we will be having a team meeting in Ormonds Bar, to which everyone is required to attend. On the agenda will be the trip to Appin next month, plans for an appearance at the Leyton Orient Chaos Cup next year and plans for the 2010/11 season amongst other things.

What can you say about that pile of dross!!Well you could say it was because we have not had a game for a month and were rusty!! you could say it was the conditions were horrible or you could just say that we were awfull today, no one played the way i know they can and no one played well in the first half and we were 3 down before we knew it, you can make all the excuses in the world, but at least we picked things up a wee bit in the second half and considering we were 3-0 down at half time i suppose we did ok to keep it to that

here's the Social work X1 take on the game!!

where????

Anyway I dont think any of us need to be told again how bad we played, especially that opening 30 mins but a good effort all the same, especially in those conditions. Social Work played well but we'll get um next time lads :)

yeah don't think there is one person who could say they played out there skin. there just didn't seem to be any effort from the start to be honest think it was a mixture of the weather and how everyone was feeling from the night before was always gonna be a tuff one th day after halloween:twisted:

i know it was halloween but that performance was scary (somebody somewhere was going to start with the bad jokes) i agree wie fernie that the weather/hangovers and possibly like larky boy says no playing for a month all didnae help. but lets take a postive out of the game we regrouped and held a better shape second half and came away with a 0-0 draw. so heads up and when we go down to the deep south sorry fife in a couple o weeks and we play like we did second half we will get a few goals.

I would say, that at a whole, we played not to bad as a team, just the 3 goals we let in where bad from the defence.
