Jim From Appin has invited us up to Oban next Sunday to play up there against a mixture of his own team and some of the Over 35s from his work, it will probably be about a 1pm Kick-Off .
We are invited back to there pub as well so when you post please consider spending a couple of hours in the pub before you do!!
With the games we have had to knock on the head in the last couple of weeks it will be good to get a game before we tackle the monkey on my back , that is Social work the week after!!

Glen 2 is where Oban play there home games, and its not a bad pitch. The rugby club will be open for 12.30 for changing, and we can lock it up when playing. The team I have is almost exactley the team that played in Perth.
I have been trying to get Coasters Bar for food after the game, but if not the rugby club will open the bar for us.


So here are the directions.

Come down the hill into Oban, and keep driving through the town.
you will go through two sets of traffic lights.
when you get to the Square, keep going left, and you will go through a set of traffic lights on the square.
Keep going for 200 mtrs, you will see a fork in the road, with a church at the centre of the fork, Macdougalls hardware to your right and a chinky to your left.
Take the left hand fork and follow the road for 300 mtrs, go round a left hand bend and you will see an open carpark and blaze pitch, turn right before you pass them.
Follow the road for 250 mtrs untill you come to a t junction.
Turn left here and keep on this road for 200 mtrs, the rugby club is straight ahead.
Dont worry if you think you are lost in a housing estate, it is just cause the road bends and you cant see the club.

It was a good performance, lost a goal at the start of the first half and looked steady after that and could have been at least level at the break.Then we lost another slack goal at the start of the second but still looked in the game until a very dubious (off side by a mile) third goal knocked the stuffing out of us and they went on to get 2 more , but never a 5-0 game. good all round performance from the 12 who turned up, dont get me started on the one (Ben) who let me down!! nice knowing you son....now do one!!!!
