Was wondering perhaps if we could get a bus leaving from Glasgow for one of the longer trips, either Aberdeen or inverness
Think this is the third time its been looked into, ast few games and pre season we'll try and get a rough ewstimate of numbers. Would be good to meet fellow Saints and get a good laugh and a beer on the road up. Edinburgh Saints have been rather successful about doing this so no reason we shouldnt either
As ever Scobby I would be up for this but like you said it has fallen by the wayside before. There must be a good few Saints fans in the West though with Uni etc. Three or four of us go each week by sharing the driving or sometimes the train.
Edinburgh Saints have taken real initiative on it and that is why they seem to be pretty welll established now. A few of us Weegies play for PSJ as well so that takes priority but am sure would all be up for a trip whenever suits if it was organised.
Looking back at the threads on this part of the forum then folk have tried to at least get together for a drink etc before games but it has never happened for whatever reason. There needs to be a bit of will if it is going to work, the Edinburgh guys seem to have that.
There used to be a West of Scotland Saints Supporters Club!! Rumours that it folded because nobody could remember what WOSSSC was meant to stand for are entirely true.

Spoke to lampshade tonight and he would be up for a game say to Inverness so thta would be 5 including em and you and the rest of the Wishaw Branch
Decent start!!
Sure Pink, Spew and Young Stewart would be up for that as well. I have never been to Inverness ground so would be a good one to get a trip for.
When are the fixtures out? :)

I'm sure I would be up for that - or you could at least take me to Perth to meet up with the Jeanfield 208!
If we are short on numbers, on trips to like Inverness I'm sure you would be able to pick up an overspill from some of the supporters clubs en route.

Numbers are growing, would be good to meet some fans on here, and should there would be some good banter on the bus up!!
Keep spreading the word, if we can get a good few i'll start pricing a bus!!

I'd be keen for it, most games start with a lonely train journey from central or queen street for me!

just an idea might be bad/good one
either that you could join your bus up with one of the perth supporters clubs like the 208 or tulloch, leave glasgow and pick up in perth that could fill youre bus

We have dedent numbers but I reckon we need about 24-30 to make it worthwhile. Its more time and cost that would stop from sharing with Edinburgh people, by the time you get through there, get a pickup point and get back out it adds alot of time onto the journey.
The Perth idea could work, but I would imagine if anybody wanted a bus they would just get a bus running from Perth. Not meaning to sound as if i', raining on your parade
