Anyone got any recommendations on where I should get a bike from, in the general perth area?
Havent cycled in about 10 years, but with petrol not getting any cheaper i could really use one to use just for nipping about in.
Popped into Halfords earlier and the prices made my eyes water, also stood around for about 20mins for some assistance before giving up and just walking out, so sack them, they had their chance for my dosh!
Looking to spend around £100-£150

im looking for one myself..but might be having ambition above my station!..france and their tour de france..bike shops have a range of bikes of your average mans style at around 150-200 euros..but if you want one for sport..you have models that reach the prices that only walt disney could imagine..several thousand euros..true they are top notch..feather weight made out of carbon

The best post in ages. Drew is one of the nicest lad's you'll ever met and if he builds the bike, it'll be spot on! Extremely talented for an oldie!

I was looking at Halfords etc but to be honest they were crap. I used to get my bikes from Richards as a lad so I went there again. Great service.
You cant be Richards for service and quality.
Always put my bike in there when i used to race it, hammered the thing week in week out and always came back perfect working order from them!

Aye, almost certainly dead. Imagine these days, an old retired guy encouraging young kids to bring him their bikes to fix in his back garden and you're right he never would take any money, he'd be branded a nonce. He used to tell me off for doing "skiddies" on my Raleigh Tomahawk.

My bike was stolen from work at the leisure pool last night. Just bought it from Richards on thursday. I locked it up by the main reception doors so the cameras would pick it up. Some junkie had lock cutters in his bag and nabbed it. Unfortunately for him, he walked into the pool to see if there were any cameras. Idiot. The good folks at Tayside Police were able to arrest him, deliver my bike back, all in the space of 3 hours.
