It could end up being Terry Butcher, he would jump at the chance to manage Rangers,

Burley has problems, ask the fans of Derby County and always leaves under a cloud
They normally go for "Rangers men" so my bet would be Butcher

EASY EASY EASY!!!
No chance - not with his Celtic connections. Next Rangers manager will be Paul Le Guen.

I think if Rangers go head hunting thats the kind of Manager they'll go for proved himself with Motherwell over the last few years good manager.
As for Tony Mobray, Can't see him getting it ex-Celtic player Don't think the Huns would have that

Dosen't matter who they bring in anyway Rangers are poor, Celtic are far superior to them this season. You just have to look at there team the only player with real talent and comiment are Ricksen, Ferguson, Prso, Burke, Klos And Buffel there rest are pish. With the team they've got th best they can hope for is 2nd. Celtic will run away with the league this year because they have the best team. They've got a middfeld worthy of a top Premiership team - Thompson, Agathe, Lennon, Nakamura, Petrov and back up like Pearson and Maloney. You just cant compete with that.

Surely you jest? I'm going to assume you've been drinking, M. That is about the most ridiculous statement I've read for a long time.

Tht is A strong Middfeld Agathe-Give you pace down the right side, Lennon Strong In the Center, Thompson one the best middfelders in in Scotland and takes a good free kick, Petrov and Nakamura simaler players both got a good tough and control of the ball can beat players and both are creative players with Maloney and Person both decent Back up players now hows that not a brilliant middfeld???

I'll give you that that is a powerful midfield--in the Scottish game. But I think that saying
Celtic and Premiership in the same breath is just daft. It's unlikely that Celtic would last more than one year in the EPL.
I quite believe that there are only a couple of teams in the MSL that Celtic could beat and the MSL is nowhere near the quality of the English game. No kidding. Those in the forum who might have traveled to the States and watched some of the games would probably agree.
I think that Celtic's record in Europe speaks for itself as far as how it might measure up to squads outside the SPL.
However, disagreement is the stuff of the Forum, and it might be interesting to start another thread discussing the quality of the SPL game contrasted with other leagues.

I think the Pope would make a great manager.
Instead of "the sash my father wore at the beauty paegant of 1664" they could sing "the party hat our father wears".
..... or Horace Bampot Thomson, he's quite a good coach.
For what it's worth I think Alex McLeish is a nice guy, was once a great player but is not a good manager and I never understood why he was appointed. As an old firm manager he should win 50% of domestic trophies on average. His job is to win a higher perecentage than that and also to make an impression in Europe since they and Celtic have automatic qualification (probably one of our problems). When Dundee Utd and Aberdeen had great sides and were up there, you knew they had earned it and therefore they were good in Europe.Scotland could be proud but now it's embarrasing.
just a quick word on this. mcleish to stay on and continue the challenge for the top 6 final place.
good luck to porto in the champs league.

Story today on Sky Sports is that McLeish has been approached to take over from perrin at pompey and he knows who the new manager will be!!!

A few Rangers fans I have spoken to seem to want Butcher. He is still a *** at heart & he manages to get his team UP against Celtic.

Like me you haven't read his book then Cagey. He seemingly makes it quite clear he is against the Rangers tradition. That was followed by Rangers fans web sites and supporters clubs advising their people not to buy it. I heard that on Sportsound on Sunday after the Aberdeen vs Hearts game in a discussion between Roddy Forsyth and Chick Young.
