As the topic suggests, I'm driving to Brechin tommorow for the first time and just wondered what the quickest way was to go from Perth, by Scone and Coupar Angus or the dual carriageway to Aberdeen? Also, how long will it roughly take?

Either way is similar time as both roads meet at Forfar. I generally take the dual carriageway (less chance of being stuck behind slow moving old biddy's or tractors!). Take the turn-off signposted Brechin/Montrose and follow the road through Brechin. You will head through the town centre and come to a roundabout with Safeway/Morrisons (not sure if they have changed it yet!) on the left. Head straight on and the ground is on the right - you will get turned in the road on your left after the ground and park on the road.

Also, how long will it roughly take?

From Perth, 45 minutes to an hour tops (depending on if you are an old biddy driving or not :P )

Personally I always go on the A94 as you don't have to pass through tinkytown.

Kingsway - the best road in the world as it bypasses Scumdee :***:

Have to admit that I missed Brechin the laast time we played there. Travelled from Edinburgh to Alloa picked up my father and then travelled all the way to Dundee, took the wrong road and ended up in Montrose and then drove all the way home arriving home at 4.30.

returned home rd faced and feeling a complete doughnut.

Cheers for the advice, think I'll take a risk and go by Dundee, hopefully avoiding catching anything contagious :)

come to a roundabout with Safeway/Morrisons (not sure if they have changed it yet!)

It's probably a Somerfield now. Most of the smaller Safeway shops were sold to them as part of the sale to Morrisons.

I'm 37.
