So with the pre-season games now in full flow I felt it was time to re-commence Scotland's best prediction league (probably).....

(at the moment these are the same as last year)
The Points system is as follows
5pts for a correct score line prediction
(you say it will be 2-1 saints and it is the score)
or
2pts for a correct result prediction
(you say 2-1 saints but it is actually 3-0 saints)
--------
2pts for the first scorer
(this applies to the first scorer in the match not the saints first scorer)
you can also predict
--------
2pts for a guess with in 50 of the attendance
1pt for a guess with in 100 of the attendance
--------
This gives a maximum of 10pts for any particular match
(bonus point if you get 9pts out of 9)
--------
As ever, all predictions will be taken for 90mins and will not include extra time and pens.
It will include Scottish Cup, League Cup and Challenge Cup matches as well as the League games
--------
League Table Predictions
1pt for each team in the correct position.
(ie if Saints finish 7th (unlikely I know) and they finish 7th you get a point.)

Interesting little note that over the years, the points per game of the winner has increased on the prevois year each time.
Will some one average over 3pts per game for this coming season????

I wouldnt worry, your always ahead of me but then again the embarrasment of winning my own game would be too much so of course i deliberately try to lose of course... hence the reason i took the world cup predictions seriously... :D

You were in the top three of all three tables in that especially well with the margins and results but Real Madrid did brilliant on the scores. 8) No you are entitled to WIN your organised BH one, we all see your entries. I think the top five from last year (DBMike, Hazel, Pezza, Allybon and SaintBear) will be there again and probably Pezza's got a formula that he uses on a Friday afternon in Sydney before going to the beach. :***: I won the Euro 2004 one but that's a long time ago. :)

My formula is so top secret, that when I work it out I will share it with everyone else, for a small fee

Are we doing the winners prediction of all the leagues again?

I think radford or someone has done that in the past. think i will leave it out of the prediction league as its never previously been included. if someone wants to do it then fine but it will be separate to the prediction league
