As mentioned in the main thread on Saints Chat I'll be doing the music on the 3rd December.
People that have come to The Beat Surrender and The Kasbah will know the stuff that I'm likely to play but if anyone (thats going) has any requests I'm more than happy to accomodate them (within reason ). This is about giving everyone a good night and not about any ego stuff for me.
There'll be plenty 60's Soul,Ska,Indie & 70's classics(Slade,Rod,etc) - we'll just see how it goes on the night.
just want us all to have a great night.
Bring them on.....

The Shrek Karaoke Swamp Party track... seriously!
Common ska, like Bad Manners, Madness etc... always good for a dance (and yer ska version of Oh when the Saints).
There's this new band called the Editors, I know someone else there who'd quite like to hear them as well

And in all seriousness, one of Drew's favourites was ABBA - Dancing Queen... I know, but it is his night!
I second the motion for Shrek Karaoke Party in the Swamp thingymajig - brilliant!
I Predict a Riot by Kaiser Chiefs would go down well too. :D

was hoping to do a wee set with the No.1's of major events of Drew's career with Saints and having gone through all my books tonight this is what I came up with
Debut 23/02/1977 When I Need You - Leo Sayer
1st goal 19/03/1977 Chanson D'Amour - Manhattan Transfer
2 Goal match v East Stirling 24/04/1982 Ebony & Ivory - McCartney/Wonder
Last game for Saints 11/05/1985 19 - Paul Hardcastle
3 goals in successive games 3+10+17/11/1979............
..........
.are you ready  One Day At A Time - Lena Martell
Won 1st Division Title 14/05/1983 True - Spandau Ballet
mibbees naw eh
Dancing Queen is sorted as is the Saints Are Coming and my Ska Version of When The Saints Go Marching In.
I think we have to remember there'll be a few folk in their late 40's early 50's ..and beyond so have to cater for all. So hows it going Tranmere Saintee

I was thinking about that 208 Saint. I'm not sure if I have it on CD though but will check - was also thinking about Na Na Na Na,Na na na Na,Weh Hey Hey...Perth St.Johnstone from the same era . banarama did the cover version- again I'll see if I can get it or the original version by Steam.
Hazel - ASAP as I'm making up compilations of stuff I wouldn't normally play.
1884 - sorry I'm not ignoring your request but is that not the song that goes on for about 3 days ? I don't have it but if there's any 70's/80's Rock stuff I might have it - I'll bring a couple of CD's of that stuff anyway and you can always choose on the night.
Rodgers - I've always got Oasis

Cliff Richard - Living Doll
Got myself a cryin', talkin', sleepin', walkin', livin' doll.
Gotta do my best to please her, just cos she's a livin' doll.
Got a rovin' eye and that is why she satisfies my soul.
Got the one and only walkin', talkin', livin' doll.

You underestimate me
I have at least ONE of your songs
Well thats it all done and I'm hoping there will be a few laughs along the way as well as the inevitable tears at times.
there's a few songs we've adapted over the years and I hope you'll join in with them when they're on - old ones though
Also now and again will play a tune relative to Drews career with Saints.
Hope you all enjoy - I've tried my best to try and accomodate just about anything apart from boy band type nonsense(apaologies if that offends)
See you all later
