Certainly not the most exciting game of football I've ever seen, but we were always comfortable against a very poor Queens team, apart from a stunning goal Wood scored for them. To be honest I'm not that unhappy about the performance - our home form's been our major problem for the last few seasons so I think we should just take scrappy wins like that today. It also sets us up brilliantly for next week, and that should be a cracking match.

played ok today, but should have really killed them off before they got their goal.
milne took his goal well and hopefully that will inprove his confidence.
on another note, the east stand linesman was appaling today, making some strange decisions for both teams. at one point he was watching the latest scores on the scoreboard and then gestured that the game was boring with the yawn signs. prick.

I thought the linesman was gesturing to the gobshite who was
abusing him that he was boring?

possibly, not too sure, but he was still pretty poor tbh.

Played ok without ever really getting out of first gear. QOS were poor so we never really had to play well to win. Scotland's run in the first half deserved a goal though.
Mention for the Ref and two linesmen - TERRIBLE! The standard of officiating in our division is getting ridiculous.

Have to agree with HeronAddicts summing up. I think the linesman was right, the game was boring. QoS were there to be thumped but we sat back after the second goal. Not that we were setting the heather on fire before that.
Don`t know why Stevenson was subbed or why Sheerin was on the field as he contributed nothing to the game. He sometimes looks like he is a good player & as he is undoubtedly talented but he is never in position to take a pass from Stanic or cover for him.

That is my biggest gripe with Sheerin, he always moves towards Stanic when stanic has the ball. If he moves away, he takes the defender with him giving stanic space (or the defender goes to stanic leaving Sheerin in space). Its not rocket science
He played ok apart from that though.

Temple report's up now - pretty much agree with what was said. We were good but not great and need to be a bit more adventurous to turn the possession into goals.
Queens are a poor side compared to last season - Gibson was about their only decent player, alhough Woods goal was a cracker.

What odds on Chopper telling us they had a good game and got all their decisions right? :***:

Odds on as they were!!!
Much more reserved performance from Charlie Richmond, especially when you remember he was the Love Street referee last year!!!
