I will disagree with anyone who says Scotland as he is so work-shy it is unbelievable - give me 2 hard working strikers in the team rather than Milne and a lazy bandit up top. He is a passenger in this team at the moment as far as the overall team performance is concerned - albeit with a few nice touches and a goal to boot.

Goran Stanic has been by far our most consistent player - even more so than Sheridan. He is a class player and one of the few that I think is up to SPL standard.

I normally agree with your posts Chopper but I think your wrong about Scotland. I will admit he may look like he is not trying but that is just his style of play. Latapy always looked lazy too. Are you telling me you would take Michael Moore before Scotland?

You are right about his talent and I certainly do not disagree the guy is class when you give him the ball - but it has to go both ways in that he needs to want the ball as well and for my money he doesn't look like he does enough of that compared to a Milne and a Dobbie.

As for Michael Moore, I think he would have got us out of games against Stranraer, Clyde and County this year whereas Scotland is not the type of player who likes a battle - similar to Latapy. Our problem (and I said it many a time on Blue Heaven) was that we never wanted a battle when we played Falkirk and many a team this year have given us a battle that Scotland has disappeared from.

I do agree that Scotland is not the type of player who likes to mix it but thats ok with me. This is why you need a squad. Scotland can tear teams apart with his running and through balls. With so many teams packing their defence against us you need someone like Scotland who can unlock them. So, if a team wants a fight then we need another type of player who can come in and fight. I don't think anyone should blame Scotland for not being like that - we should just appreciate being able to watch some genuine talent for a change and accept that the guy isn't going to be running through many brick walls.

I would take talent over hard work any day of the week. At the end of the day, teams can huff and puff all they like but without that little bit of magic they will be nothing but mediocre!
