Dont see why Celtic are signing a 34 year old myslef, will be more of a nuisance to the team than anything.
Hopefully let Hearts get back into the hunt for the title though
No doubts about this signing IMO , great player and will do well with the tims ..... unfortunately!!

34 year old is far from old for god sake.
Saints signed Sergie when he was older than that and look how good a signing he was.
Brilliant signing for them.

I'm with you on this. Keane has taken the easy option and to be sure he's entitled to but... I think there will be a lot of dressing room unrest he's gonna be treated differently to the rest of 'em. And I bet he's gonna try it on. He won't be told what to do. Remember McCarthy...
C'moan Hertz.

Think this could turn pear shaped for Sellick.
Great player though :)

I think Celtic will live to regret this one. can`t see him & Lennongetting on especially as it`s Lennon`s position he will be taking. i can see dressing room unrest with a player coming & getting twice as much as most of them.

He is a thug and a bully who has not completed a full season for years.
A has been who should find his level in the mediocrity he will play in.
Before anyone has a go at me, the SPL is not amongst the worlds finest.

The same adjectives could be used to describe Keane. Inotice that during last nights demolition of Wigan there no shouts of 'Keano, Keano'!

not really my first choice signing, personally i wouldnt be too upset about missing out on him. good player 5 years ago but he has been the same since, waste of money IMO, will obviously do a job but there are cheaper options which would be better

Those of you who think this is not a good signing for Selliik are kidding yourselves.
This is massive, financially, PR wise and on the park.
Dunc M, SPL, you are not telling us anything anyone of us football fans on here don't know.
And like it or not a high profile player like Keane in the SPL is good for Scottish football.
Still hope Hearts win the league but IMHO, they have not got a hope in hell.

If it stops 'em pillaging talent from provincial teams for a while I can easily live with this. I still think it's gonna bring them more trouble than he may be worth in the end. I can see him being unavailable for a lot of matches whilst he serves out suspensions etc.
What 'special' arrangements have been made to pay his wages though?
How long will the rest of the squad put up with it?
How long before he's trying to tell Strachan how it shud be done?
They've already cashed in on Keano shirts to the tune of 20,000 allegedly.
That's business...

That's a very good signing for Celtic in many ways.
