New Moderators

Can I just check that the following people are all still happy/able to offer their services as forum moderators?

- Linky
- Pezza70
- BigCheese
- Saintkev
- Kyle
- Tranmere Saintee
- Jimbo

I'm assuming at the moment that you're all still up for it - if you've had a change of heart or don't have the time to dedicate to it any more, no worries, please just let me know and I'll take your name off the list. It is a fairly big commitment so I totally understand if anyone's changed their mind, but it's better if I can find out now.

Also, only Linky and Big Cheese mentioned wanting to moderate specific sections. I'm taking it the rest of you have no preference - but if that's not the case, please feel free to reply to this thread letting me know which section you'd like to help out with.

If anyone else would like to be a moderator but hasn't put their name forward yet, it's never too late - feel free to post up your details on this thread. For more info on what it's all about, see the original thread (http://www.saintschat.org.uk/viewtopic.php?t=41&start=0).

NB: Please don't PM me about this subject. Unless you have something to say that's specifically for me and you don't want it on the public forum, please reply with your posts in public below. Cheers!

Okay, how does this sound:

SaintsChat: Pezza70, Christie, Linky, Tranmere Saintee
FitbaChat: Broggy Man, Kyle, Jimbo
ChitChat: BigCheese, Saintkev, Calinho

I've put 4 people on SaintsChat and 3 on the other 2, because SaintsChat's the busiest (and also Pezza70 is likely to be on at different times because he's in Australia). Obviously if anyone wants to switch around, feel free to say so. Also, if anyone named there would prefer not to be involved any more, give me a PM to let me know. Myself and David will still be a sort of "uber admin" as there are a few things that can be sorted out as admin, but not as moderators.

It probably won't come into effect until Christmas/New Year is out of the way (I'm too busy to get it all sorted out properly at the moment and I'm sure the rest of you probably are too), so feel free to carry on discussing it on this thread in the meantime.

Okay, all you new Mods (and existing ones!) - your Mod powers have now been set up. Before doing anything else, if you look down towards the bottom of the forum's front page you'll discover a mysterious new section that only you can see. Give it a look and say hello!

After a little while I'll delete this thread, as it's not really needed now.

Fraid not, there's an extra forum set up called "Moderator Chat" for any stuff you need to ask or debate. Need to be logged in to see it.

Right, my turn for the :oops: but I cannot see this new area at all. I have logged out and logged back in etc.

Can see that I am now a moderator with the new tabs allowing me to edit/delete etc, but the new forum does not seem to be appearing anywhere. :?

Are you sure you can't see anything in between the PSJ Chat section and the "who's online" bit? I'll try to look into it tomorrow. :? :cry:

Okay - it seems I made a bit of a schoolboy error when setting this up, but I think it's fixed now. If the Mods have a look now towards the bottom of the front page, you should be able to see what I was talking about.
