Its gotta be done. Who are the past and present professionals who could form the Trumpton Fire Brigade side???
My slightly tiddled memory comes up with...
Pugh David Pugh, Stirling Albion
Pugh
Barney McGrew
Cuthbert Our Kev of course
Dibble Andy, ex Man City, Aberdeen etc
Grubb.
I suspect our main problem will be Barney Mc, unless someone knows that he played for S****horpe reserves in 1911.

I'm sure there's a Pugh that was on the books of Man Urinal.
Danny Pugh - went to Leeds or Luton if my memory serves me correctly.

The first fireman in the sequence is actually Hugh and not Pugh. In that case you could stick in Hugh Murray, can't remember which team he plays for though :?

I was thinking the same.

Then you would both be wrong.

It was indeed.
Good spots with Danny Pugh and especially Dean Grubb!
So thats...
Pugh David Pugh, Stirling Albion
Pugh Danny Pugh, Leeds Utd
Barney McGrew
Cuthbert Our Kev of course
Dibble Andy, ex Man City, Aberdeen etc
Grubb Dean Grubb, Bristol City
Only Barney McGrew letting the side down. Can anybody use a bit of poetic licence to fill the spot????

The original story had one 'Pugh' but the guy who wrote the music suggested adding a second 'Pugh'

They were twins. I wonder what they're doing now, must be retired by now :?

Treat the name as two seperate people and we could have Bjarne Goldbaek (ex Chelsea)
