If you are struggling for numbers then I should be able to make the first half and probably a bit of the second if kick off is early enough as in hospitality for the "big team's" game.

Any of you Perth cats care to give a weather update? Forecast seems alright but can never rely on that I suppose.

Pitch seems to hold up pretty well to rain but snow would be problem I guess.

Was very frosty this morning so any snow on the pitch will have turned to ice one would imagine.

I've just been up and there's still a bit of snow covering the pitch - if I could figure out how to post photos on here I'd show you but I'm useless! If it's to be cold tonight there's no chance the pitch will be playable as the snow will turn to ice.

Mark will have a better idea tonight but I'll be surprised if it's playable.

That pitch looks well fooked ! Surely it wont thaw in time for tomorrow ?

Plus its cold and I've got flu

Weather seems to be forecast to be relatively mild overnight so do you reckon it will be alright so long as it is not cold tonight Nips?

What time are you heading up there at Mark? Obvioulsy we need to make a decision on this asap so can let the Airdrie boys know.

Al C

Just clicked on the photo to make it bigger - have to admit it does not look good, there is a fair bit of snow on it which we would need to clear and also avoid a cold night or as Nips says it will be sheet of ice.

Obviously want the game to go ahead but we need to be realistic. Let us know what you think Mark when you go up.

No sign of a cold night with the Met Office either if you look at forecast for Perth, reckon we will be ok for this one.

Mark - can you just send me a text or give us a phone when you have checked the pitch? Kev is down at the Tranmere game so not much he can do from there. Number is 07841334107. Cheers.

I reckon we will be alright though by the looks of things, a bit muddy but that is a real game!!

All the fileds around almondbank are nice and colourful so im guessing that the snow on the pitch should be nearly all gone

nips

The photo was taken at back of 12 when the sun was beating down. The fields around the area were clear when I went out but the pitch was still, well, like you can see it! There was ice on the road at the time as well - for some reason Almondbank seems to be colder than everywhere else!

If it's not cold enough to freeze tonight it might be ok, just cold, wet and a lot of fun for slide tackles! As Airdrie are a sound bunch it shouldn't be that dangerous (would be a different story if it was that Partick team though!). Wait and see what Mark says though.

That's what I reckon as well, Airdrie are like us, they won't be taking it all that seriously. Think we will be good to go. Mark can confirm later though.

At the current time I'll make myself unavailable with the squad up at 14. If there are a couple of drop outs let me know and I'll be able to play the first half.

I can exclusively reveal that the game tomorrow will go ahead. Pitch will be muddy but perfectly playable. Thanks a lot to Nips and Mark for their efforts checking it out today, much appreciated.

Squad is - Al, Christie, Capt, Nips, Jimmy, Dunbar, Burn, Bee J, G, Rodge, Jinky, Geezer, Edgar, Juan, Elvis, Lee.

Ewan and Mad Mental Richard are both unavailable so we have no ref. Airdrie Dougy is trying to bring one with him ( ) but more than likely we will need a volunteer or two for this task.

Game kicks off at 10.30am the Cage, be at changing rooms for usual 9.30am. Perth cats co-ordinate with Kev.

Any probs just give me a shout. Cheers.

This one finished in a 6-2 victory to PSJ with goals from G, Al (2) and Capt (3). PSJ MOM was Rodge, Oppostion MOM was G.

A very pleasing display, especially the second half when we scored four goals and conceeded none against the wind. We were very clinical and defended well for the most part. Cheers to all that played.

Thanks also to Dougy and the Airdrie boys for making the trip up. I know that he was struggling for a team but managed to get one together for the game. We look forward to the return game in Airdrie in March.

Cheers also to Nips and Sandy for reffing a half each. Very much appreciated and thought they both did a fine job, to the extent you hardly noticed them, like all the best refs.

Final thanks to G for getting a load of equipment that made its debut on Saturday. Hopefully we won't lose it all within a week!! Anyone with a stash of sand for the goalmouths bring it along next week!!

Next up is Queens Park supporters on Sunday, following the eagerly awaited night out. See seperate thread for details. Cheers.
