Because he won't get the credit he deserves, I'll go for Peaso.
  Now I'm not normally a Peaso baiter, but I thought today was one of the worst games I've seen him have for Saints. He won a few headers, but he lost the ball a helluva lot.

He also set up two goals though, did he not? He did just as well to set them up as Jason did to score them.
I'm going to give it to Mensing though, whose goal was amazing. :D

^^ i think he could stay on his feet a bit more but he had 2 assists today so couldn't have been that bad.
i thought anderson played well after coming on, but jason's 2 goals just edge it.

Mensing, goal of the season contender and looks so much more at home in the middle of the park, specially compared to last weeks poor performance at Dens on the right, bounced back from that well today.
To be honest I never actually noticed who got the assists today - fair enough if it was Peaso, but I just thought the things he normally does so well for us he didn't do so well today. He seemed to lose the ball a lot, which is unlike him, and especially in the second half I thought their centre halves had him in their back pocket. He wasn't as much of a nuisance today as he normally is, but maybe I just noticed the bad things he did.
mensing for me. made up for his poor performance last week

Simon Mensing. What a goal and a solid performance in the middle of the park :D Thought Peaso played well in the first half but wasn't so good in the second half and went to ground to easy otherwise we may have had a penalty

Scotland. Thought he led the line well and held the ball up well, and got us two goals. Seems to be trying alot more these days as well, shame he will go. Iam of the opinion personally that peaso is starting to struggle. I think he has a good finish and is a good player, but it is evident that his injuries have lost him a good few yards of pace, which is needed for his style of play. Hopefully he can get this back.
Mensing was also far better in the middle, and after slagging him, mciness (sp) is starting to fit into the team.

Mensing for me - cracking goal and solid whole - hearted game. Praise also to Anderson, and Scotland. Peaso worked hard and I also liked Lilley when he came on. He is clearly deperate to win a starting place, and that kind of attitude has got to be the kind of threat that Peaso and Jason need to keep them giving their best.

Has to be Mensing! Goal of the millenium!
You will rarely see a better goal scored at McDiarmid, it would be a CRIME not to award him with MoM.

Willie McLaren. Great first half, causing them problems with his running a passing including a few really great long range passes.

..... but maybe I just noticed the bad things he did.
said like a true saints supporter!!
What is it with saints fans? why do they feel the need to slag off their own player for what usually turns out to be at best minor errors but more usually because the player did not quite do something as the fan (the expert of course!) would like them to. It is most exasperating!
BTW This rant is not aimed at you specifically nips :***: :?

I will go for Scotland ahead of Peaso. Scotlands finishing was superb and his general play was excellent. He and Peaso are building up a great relationship - thats 3 in 2 games Peaso has set up.

I know what you mean - I don't normally moan about players and I certainly don't boo them when they're playing for Saints, today I was merely questioning someone's decision to vote for him as MoM. When I said I just noticed the bad things, I basically meant I was possibly harsh on him as I never realised it was Peaso who set up Jason for his goals - it's very hard to pay attention at Saints games these days after all!

Has to be Jason with mentions for Ando. Apart from his goal & a good first 20 mins Mensing wasn`t seen in the second half.
Scotland for me, our best player by a mile and will be sadly missed if not here next season.
Although all he ever does is score goals and look dangerous, we should punt him now or swap him for Derek Lyle :D
