Wow! I will sleep on it and then some. I'd love to make an "everyone" option but have to stick to the rules!

No failures tonight. Forwards were great & Mensing & Hardie controlled midfield especially in 1st half but James & McManus were immense in defence so I will give it to McManus seeing as he hasn`t trained all week & has a grion strain.
Mentions to Stanic for his cotribution at second goal & Wullie at first.

Really difficult with so many great performances tonight. I'll give my vote to Paul Sheerin. He's been off colour recently but tonight he was majestic. Went looking for the ball at every opportunity and really looked as if he meant business, making strong forward runs and spraying passes around. A big game player who we needed to deliver tonight and he didn't disappoint. When Paul Sheerin is in that mood, it lifts the whole team.

If Paul Sheerin had pace, he'd be outstanding. Then again, he also wouldn't be playing for us.

Simon Mensing for me, stood up and took his responsibilities in the middle of the park like a man. He was amazing.

Loved it when he and Mensing were both running on to the ball so he shoved Simon out the way! 'Ghost' indeed!

Easily the hardest game to pick a man of the match for ever. I can't even narrow it down to 3 or 4. Will have to watch it back before voting!

Hardie for me just ahead of everyone else. Deserved a goal for his shots and the amount of running he put in was awesome.

:***: :***: :***: :***:

Class wasn't it!? Also, the outrageous drag of the foot over the ball then back again before a fantastic change of pace he had earlier in the game, that left the Motherwell player challenging him totally static and looking completely bewildered was a superb moment. Silky skills indeed.

Mensing was given MoM by the BBC. Had to settle for watching the game in the pub but I thought Goran, Sheerin and Jason were outstanding. Jason looked a different class and made some sublime passes despite having two men marking him

Yeah Mensing for me - but everyone was fantastic - including Saints fans!

I gave it to Scotland, for the problems that he gave the Well defence all night, but in all honesty, it really could have gone to any player that took the field last night.

There was not one player in a blue shirt who should feel nothing less than immensley proud this morning of the way that they played last night. Once again, this team have shown that they could, indeed, cope with SPL opposition.

I am SO proud of the boys.

Sheerin.

McManus for me - one light session at training since his injury and was clearly the best defensive player on show and allowed the midfield and forwards to push on and press Motherwell over the park (as well as covering for James' wandering moments!!!).

Not a failure tonight though.

James for me, obviously incredibly difficult decision but a header clear that he made when it was 2-1 and they put a decent cross into the box swung it for me.

A true leader and terrific to have him as a Captain.

Surely Mensings best game in a Saints shirt last night, proving that his most effective postion (by far) is in the centre of the park.

Crikey, I am gettin worried that we may not be able to hold onto a few of these boys if we don't (or even if we do) get up this season after the way they have advertised their abilitities to any watchin managers in the two live televised games.

Geoff might have to give them a few extra quid onto contract extensions.

Tempted to give it to Stanic for the way he set up the second goal but that would be a dis-service to Simon Mensing who was superb.

Take note Paul Sheerin! You don't always need to vote for yourself if del8boy can look past Simon!

I went for Peaso in the end but it really could have been any one of the players.

Voted last night - very difficult to separate so many players, but I went for Kevin James. Was he troubled once by McDonald and co? :D

Mentions to the fantastic Mensing, Stanic, Hardie, McLaren, Scotland and MacDonald as well, with no failures whatsoever.
