Everything points to a home win. Campbell is on his last legs at Firhill and I think he's probably lost the dressing room, he's certainly lost the fans.
Our recent home record is won 10, drawn 1, lost 1 whilst Thistle have 2 wins since mid-November and have collected only 6 of their last 24 available points on the road.
Hopefully the extra day's rest will have helped us and I'm convinced OC will see the error of his ways and will freshen things up if it's required.
We're due a big performance from Sheerin after nearly 20 games without a goal and Peaso loves scoring against Thistle. Martin Hardie will make a big difference as well I reckon.
I was all for letting McManus try and play himself out of his dip in form but it's not really happened for him. He had a good week in the big games at the end of January and start of February but I now think Ando deserves his chance. If Goran isn't 100% then Willie Dyer should play. I'd also unleash Morais. McLaren was in the right positions the other night but his miss was criminal and his head dropped after that. I don't see the point of having a clearly unfit Savo on the bench ahead of Jacko. Can OC not fix up bounce games for Savo?
The team certainly doesn't pick itself but I'd go with:
Cat
Lawrie - Ando - James - Stanic/Dyer
Morais - Hardie - McInnes/Mensing - Sheerin
Peaso - Scotland
home win without a shadow of a doubt. by 2 or 3 goals

Massive game, again - though i don't like building these types of games up because we bottle it every time...so it's just another game, right!
Hardie being back will be vital for us, we have missed his passion dig and fight in the past few games and his drive for the rest of the team. I actually think McLaren's performance is helped along by Hardie as i've noticed on a few occasions Hardie talking to him and pointing things out etc (before James comes over and SHOUTS!)
We don't have as good a home record against Thistle, but our away one is fantastic - we have got to win or the players have 4/5 games to prove they are wrth a place on April 14th against the team of diddies from the East End of Glasgow.

A very poor game with only Dick's antics bringing anything to note apart from the return of Mr Hardie.
Partick were very VERY poor and feel for the shocking support that they brought through - considering their position and effort from their squad i still expected a few more to be through. However, we went all out with Morais attacking very hard down the right (even if he is a bit theatrical!!).
First goal was sublime with a great pass from McInnes to Morais out on the right, Morais playing it inside to Peaso a ball over the top from Peaso for Hardie running onside to head it past the keeper. A good move.
Then feck all happened until just after 4pm when Saints got a second and yep, you guessed it, sat back and defended their lead with creating very little after that - am i the only one that feels we should have pushed up and went for a rout today? I know we have a lot of games coming up, and the players need to reserve their energy blah blah but if it goes to the wire and goal difference has to be used then we're going to regret it.
As for Mr Campbell - bloody fantastic you penis. He had a quality hissy fit on the sidelines and then proceeded to be warned, then in the second half he does it again - but he really meant it, bunnet off and straight into the ground. An absolute embarrassment and was greeted into the directors box with a hell of a cheer from the drunkards in hospitality - sheer quality. And then for the "Campbell, Campbell gie us a wave" and proceeds to fold his arms in a huff! :***:
Not much to report about - Hardie back is what we've been missing, Morais was good if not spending more time rolling about due to his theatrics, Campbell is a penis.

We needed to win that game. We got it. Game was c***. The Jags were really, really baaaad. Hardie back was what we needed - two cracking goals. Good shifts from Felipe, Paul Sheerin and Peaso. Still not sure why McInnes is playing for us actually. If we can't beat that lot on Tuesday, we should give up now. That is all.

Pish game only livened up by 2 goals and Dickie Campbells Amazing Flying Bunnet show.
Midfield was very negative at times and that only seemed to improve once McInnes went off and Mensing pushed forward a bit more. Sheerin was again off the pace and Jason poor up front. Thought Morais was ok but he'll need to watch his temper - three bookings in three games now and guaranteed that if he starts on Tuesday night the Thistle luvvies will be trying to wind him up.
Any idea how bad James is - it looked like a thigh strain and to be hones I'm surprised Owen didn't just take him off - it's not as if Fissel looked like scoring.
Right I'm off to get a bunnet to throw about at Firhill on Tuesday - it's the only way to emulate the Great Entertainer that is Dick Campbell.

Shocking game, one of the worst this season though that wind wont have helped. Hardie scored two terrific goals. Morais looked like running riot all game but got thumped about 3-4 times when going past his man and faded because of that. Cat made a terrific save at 2-0 to secure a clean cheet. That really sums it up, not much to cheer about but the win was vital and I guess deserved.

I cann't belive that I missed the second goal ! We ended up with John Lambie at our table at half time and we were chatting when the teams came out, and because of him we missed the goal !!!
I thought that we were OK today, but if we had put our foot on the ball more and knocked it about then we could easily have ripped Partick apart, who for me, look a very poor team. Good to see Morais getting a start, but still would have liked to have seen us attack them, particularly at home, with two wingers.
All four strikers put in decent shifts without really oushing themselves, for me. Martin got the MOM for his two goals, but I don't really remember anyone else really standing out. Stanic perhaps, but no-one obvious.
A good win, and an important 3 points.

Shock horror  I agree with radford I would take boring 2-0 wins all the way home in the league now to make Gretna at least win it. As for Dick Cambell i dont really see what he ws getting upset at some of his teams tackiling today was brutal. McIness had a real off day but his booking was a joke the guy rolled the ball that is why he charged it down. I take it the ref missed that part. Moriase bloddy breath of freah air somebody who takes a player on and commits him even if he did roll about when he was cut in half and why oh why did we not in the first half after the number 3 was booked for assault feed Moriase deep and let him run at him he would have been off before half time. The one thing about Moriase he has to be taught to think a bit before jumping in but he is one i would like to keep ten times the player than McLaren.
Highlight for me was Hazels new hat .

I think it was more to do with the fact that they wanted the supporters as far away from the board and Campbell as possible. There would've been a murder if the Maryhill massive had been sitting just along from the Director's Box when Campbell headed upstairs.
