Simon Mensing for me. Held us together early on then contributed a goal. Ando and Andy Lawrie ran him close and MMMH was.......... well MMMH. Just what we expect now.

Mensing was simply amazing today. For once we looked solid at dealing with crosses and high balls whilst having a bit of mobility at the back. His distribution was exceptional too. I do think special credit has to go to Ando, Lawrie and Stanic also for forming what was an outstanding defensive unit. Best defensive performance of the season - well done lads.

mensing was superb. thought our whole defense was great actually. was funny when a guy sitting behind me said to his pal that mclarens a useless wee bastard then he went and scored :) he did well today imo and got a good receptian from the fans when he went off.

They all left as soon as the awards were handed out.

In all fairness, they spent a good hour before the awards ceremony began, mingling with the fans.

Mensing ,Ando & Lawrie were great today. First half hour Mensing was immense. Lawrie had probably his best game for Saints & never made a mistake all day but my vote goes to Ando who won every ball today & set Wullie on his way for his goal via a great 1-2 with Jason.

ando for me today , thought he was brilliant ,but it was a close call with simon who was also brilliant .

only problem with the defence for me was the keeper. really not sure about it just never felt safe. stanic is solid and hopefully has a few more years. anderson was superb. he got my vote. mensing really showed his worth to the team he can do it in defence and midfield. its great having the big physical guys in there to get it sorted no mess.

the defence looked a bit dodgy at times i felt though. we got the points thats what matters

Lawrie for me, probably the best game he's had for saints today can't remember him getting beat once today solid perfomance and won everything in the air.

Yeah, I wasn't really criticising them, just going back to what I told you last night about Peaso.

I can't really pick anyone from yesterday. We are at the stage where all that matters is results and we looked very nervous until the 'keeper gifted us the first. Just because he got that all-important goal, and because he'd already broken his nose by that point, Andy Lawrie.

Thought it was between Lawrie, Ando and Mensing -goign to give it to Lawrie due to it being his best game in a Saints shirt.

Lawrie for me. He was everywhere, missed nothing and got the goal that settled us.

Lawrie for me. Solid performance, never gave much away and capped off his best performance for Saints with his goal. Oh and the fact he won me £50 in the sweepie for first goalscorer :D
