View Full Version : Feldy Cup - Sat 30th June 2007
Might as well get the ball rolling for this as well - PSJ travel to Feldy once again on Sat 30th June to contest the Feldy Cup. Kick off time will hopefully be early afternoon with game taking part at Breadalbane Park. There will then follow a meal in the Fountain and several pints.
Those that are available please confirm asap. Cheers.
I should make this one. Can I just add that we will need to give the Fountain a vague idea of numbers about a week or two before hand. Kick off will be 12 or 1. So a wee bit of grub at a knocked down price after that for those who wish it.

From what I remember Jinky, Mixu, Rocket, Geezer, Wonka and Ross Chips all said they were up for this on Saturday. Others might have done as well but hard to take in at 2am.
That gives a squad so far of Dunbar, Burn, G, Elvis, Jinky, Mixu, Rocket, Geezer, Wonka, Ross Chips, Dale, Wee Lee, Bee J.
Most folk seemed to relish the opportunity to play against Rodge so others please confirm asap. Cheers.

Right troops,
Just a quick word of warning....
There is no accommodation at this years Feldy Cup so it is not going to be a whole weekend affair like some of the years previously. As far as I am aware, it is a normal PSJ game with a pub and grub afterwards then homeward bound although match organiser ODAB may wish to confirm this.
If this puts anyone off from making the long trip north please post on here to let me know asap as numbers are already short.

This game is the chance for you to choose your squad number for the upcoming season. Should be some crackers available as well with Al (10) and Captain (4) on holiday :D Will anyone dare take the manager or captain's squad number?

Jinky has also said he's going to get fit for next season! I'd take anything he says with a pinch of salt.
Will last season's want away midfielder, Michael Woodburn, have to make do with a place on the bench and give up the number 8 shirt? Only time will tell.
I haven't played in midfield for about a million years.
Kick off for this one is 1pm incidentally at Breadalbane Park. Takes about 40 mins to get there from Perth.

Few folk just going straight up to Feldy on Sat - Burn, G, Ben, Callum, Rocket, Geezer and Mixu.
Those meeting at Tesco at 11.30 in Perth - Dunbar, Elvis, Wonka, Wee Lee, Jinky, Bee J, Chopper, Dale, Chips. Juan needs picked up in Bankfoot on route.
Any probs let G know. PSJ have a proud record in the Feldy Cup that must be maintained.
Feldy will be in light blue or red and black strips Wonka. Probably the away strips would be best but you might want to bring both.

Aye aye i know. Well if wonka, jinky and either chopper or rocket can drive there and back (any 3 basically) then we're sorted.
Just a wee final note on arrangements. KO is 1pm at Breadalbane Park. After the game we will be heading back to the award winning Fountain for pints and grub (which there is plenty of, epecially as Rocket won't be there.) Every year we try to raise a bit of money for charity but due to increased expenses this year and trying to keep the PSJ costs to the usual amonut, we will probably be limited to the £50 donation we have recieved already. Possiblilty of running a sweep on first goalscorer to maybe bump this up a bit or if the players were happy to put in an extra pound each but we will see on the day. See all cat on Saturday.

ross chips is driving up and has 3 spaces. unfortunatly he is off to a wedding and I am at a suprise birthday party so cant make the food and have to go straight back with him.
i would take my car but most of you know the run in i had with the mot people :(

This ended in a hard fought 3-2 victory for PSJ. Scorers were Ben, Wonka and Chopper. PSJ MOM: Dunbar Opp MOM: Callum

Well done to the PSJ boys. Apologies for the crap food that was produced but I'm sorry Stevie I didn't buckle (well not yet anyway) Looks like we have raised in the region of £75 for the kid's unit at Ninewells.
Cheers to G for taking over managerial duties for this one, he must have given an equally inspirational team talk as me to motivate you to victory :roll:
Well done to everyone that played to secure an early bit of silverware for the PSJ trophy cabinet. This at least ensures we have something to present to ourselves at next years awards do.
