Normally would be totally up for this... I love it, however, a bit skint just now.
I went recently. It is ace and they have a Charlie and The Chocolate Factory ride on the go at the moment which should make you feel at home Wonka. It is guff though.........

You could have made it even cheaper by collecting the 2 for 1 tickets in the Express last week:wink:
I'm based about half an hour from Alton Towers so I would be up for coming along provided I wasn't working that day. Just let me know when your planning it.

Totally... worst thing there, by a country-mile!

Aye, thats it. I thought the best ride there though was the brilliantly named 'Rita'.
Team day trip are rumoured to be heading that way soon. Although this is the first time in about 3 summers something has been organised by a girlie. It could all go to shit! Thurs 26th and sat 28th have been spoke of. Will need to wait and see when I go back to work if i'll be off that day. Might see some of you there.
Or more likely you will arrange a different date so as not to meet a bunch of ****s from carluke!

Rita, Queen Of Speed, I found she was over a bit quick after all that queuing... it had not long opened though, so maybe the queues are not so bad now...
I went on a Saturday last month and the place was rammed. If you can make it on bleak looking midweek, before the English schools get off its nothing like as bad.
If I do get off it'll be the start of next week, I'll let you know.

You're not wrong, last time I went, I had been on every ride by midday (except Rita)... there was a few school trips, but not bad at all... and it was mainly scousers and weegies, so you just through 10p to the end of the line and most chased it back!
You can say that again!
Went a couple of years ago and discovered an excellent way of getting the queues down. Stop at a petrol station on the way down and buy a couple of bunches of cheap flowers. While you go for lunch strap them to the entrance to your chosen ride with a card saying something along the line of "In Memory of John, Who loved the Nemesis very much". By the time you have had your lunch the queue has nearly gone.
It worked once.
