if you do a search on bearshare for a limewire pro crack, it will get you the rolls royce service for free instead of buying the limewire pro version

Are you aware that if you file share, you are a net uploader? The agreement you sign by downloading from such sites allows you to access files on people's computers and, at the same time, allows them to access your computer.
If you are going to use such a site, you are giving up the privacy of your data. That means all data. Be careful.

Which makes me wonder, Hazel , 'What's in it for them?' It could be that they allow one-way file sharing, that would be fine. Still, be careful.

This is not strictly true. When using file sharing tools you 'dedicate' folders which files can be uploaded from. This is known as a shared folder. You choose this folder when you install the tool or can change it in your preferences at any time. If you choose not to share your files, you will be penalised because users who share more data than you get preference over quicker downloads etc.
This is not to say that I trust them - don't use any p2p file sharing tool without some decent security software running on your machine. Regularly run and update your virus scanner (and regularly run Windows updates).

Some people upload loads because they can, others do it for money, others do it because they don't know any better.

They are also open to trackers for finding out who is file-sharing without paying the appropriate fees. Recent case of a fine of over six grand for doing this and it will not stop there!!

I use Limewire, you can specify what file other folk can see, so its no bad. And Hazel, I've nae time for folk use don't let others browse their file. It's the whole point of the system, SHARING!! :x

If its albums you are looking for and rare music Soulseek is by far the best and safest.
You can download albums 2 or 3 weeks before they are even released.
