A lovely bit of PR/Customer Service from Saints.

Every Season Ticket holder who gave the club their email address will have received an email from Paul Smith this afternoon informing them of the Jamie Winter signing and the departures of McManus and Paston before it was revealed on the Official Site and the Evening Telegraph site.

A nice touch. Thank you, Paul

I got mine. This was after i had replied to the e-mail asking whether I would prefer McDiarmid to be a non-smoking stadium or not.

Have you given them your e-mail? If so E-mail paul Smith at the Club and check that he's go your right e-mail address. There;s no good making comments like you have done when teh CLub are trying to improve communication through the use of teh e-mail.

I've not had anything, don't know if i put it on my season ticket one but i am certainly signed up to the website so don't see why they couldn't have used that list of people!!

I never got any, and I regulalry keep contact with Paul for one thing or another... I'm guessing this a technical hitch... Hazel is pally with the club and not heard anything so, that would suggest they are not leaving out us trouble-makers! :roll:

Hmmm... I used to get the updates from Paul but haven't had one for a while. Mind you he did email me personally about the smoking ban and I guess he didn't have to ask me my opinion again as he already knew it!

Have had a personal email from Paul saying he could not understand why I am not receiving the emails as I am definitely on the list. Have still not received the smoking ban poll but have received the one sent today regarding Glennon signing.

Would suggest anybody not receiving them should get in touch directly with Paul and he will try and sort it out. As Paul pointed out only a small percentage of people volunteered their email address and from those, he has had a few rejected because people have since changed their email addresses.

In case people thought I was having a go, it was tongue in cheek, and yet again Paul has come up trumps in sorting things out asap.

Not to be pedantic, but I am still awaiting a reply to my original email as to why there was not a minute's silence at the RC game for Drew Rutherford, so I don't expect to hear from the club about any potential signings or views on smoking/non smoking issues.
An email was sent to PS and to the club directly, and I'm still waiting, copies are available on request, and, I believe, were posted on this very site.
Very nice to see that the club communicate and take the fans feelings into consideration when it suits them.

This is obviously a new service started up by the club and I think its great that they are going for this and hope that they continue to use this service to promote events and other features in the future

Paul has started off using the database of email addresses he got from the season ticket forms, but I feel that he would probably be happy to add any other Saints fans who requested being added to his database (but do not quote me :roll: ).

Ive bought things in the past from the on line shop, so they have my e mail address already, so hopefully they may consider adding non season ticket holders.

Great to see the club moving out of the messenger pidgeons and using the world wide web :D

Perry, as I am sure the techies behind this site will confirm, setting these things up and running them without any initial gliches is a real nightmare (that is why people like myself can earn a living by resolving other programmers cock-ups :***: ). As I have already said, I think people will need to email Paul directly if they wish to be added to the mailing list and I have already asked him if this is what people should do.

Have had confirmation from Paul that he will add anybody to his lists who contact him directly at the club.
