need a win on saturday big time to keep up with the leaders. i'd give dobbie a start in this game even though he's been pretty gash lately. i think we need to freshen things up a wee bit as we've looked a bit flat in the last few games. look forward to seeing the return of mr moore, no doubt he'll be well up for this one

when you see the fixtures at the start of the season this is one you look to for 3 points and a nice wee five goal haul, but im not so confident tbh. stanraer are no mugs, we are playing crap at the moment and it will end up a 1-1 draw.

Last night he was pretty poor IMO, giving away easy balls on a few occasions and sadly not showing the promise that i thought he would. But i think that was his first game back, so i'll reserve judgement? :?

Ando's been solid the past few games, and it was summed up with his MoM on Saturday - he's better than Mensing. And as Radford says he gives us more width, which is what we will need on Saturday.

It's going to be tough and the players are going to have to get themselves up for a game a bit more than they appear to have been the past few weeks.

I'd go with radford's team so far and be tempted to try bringing Savo (if he's fit enough for the bench) or Coyle on in the second half and dropping Dobbie or Scotland back a bit if we are still creating nothing.

Its a must win for us... which makes me ever so slightly sceptical about this game

We never seem to do well when the pressure's on for some odd reason.

I'd change things about a bit for this one... think one or two lads might feel they are in a safety zone just now so it might help to put out players who feel they have something to prove.

Cuthbert

Anderson Rusty James Stanic

McCann Sheridan Jancyzk McAnespie (if fit... if not, Sheerin)

Scotland Dobbie (if Savo doesn't make it)

See what happens with that. McAnespie would give us some natural width... but, then again, neither Scotland nor Dobbie can head the ball. We'll see I suppose - hoping for a win but I'm not going to hold my breath.

not going to be there this week but i feel we should go back to teh 3-5-2
Cuthbert

Mensing-James-Rusty
Stevo-mccann-sheridan-scrabble-(either keyring or stanic)
Scotland and Dobbie

No need to rush Savo, as knowing our luck it will just get worse.

My money is on moore to score again.

Ive got a bad feeling about this  The weather again is going to be cold one of the most dificult conditions to play in cant feel feet hands etc...

I hope OC doesnt go back to 3-5-2 and sticks with the 4-3-1-2 maybe rests Savo if he has a niggle and gets himself on there with perhaps dobbie along side him with Scotland in the hole or the wandering role :?:

I am going to change the team around due to the performances recently and injuries. I also want to experiment a bit to discover who has or has not a future.

Team:
Cuthbert
Rusti James Anderson
Stanic, McManus, Sheridan, Dyer
Scotland
Coyle/Milne, Dobbie

subs: Paston, Scrabble, Hannah, McCann, McInespie.

Team plan - no high balls to Stevenson to miss or head to nobody. Play the ball on the deck and support the front players. Get wide, pass and move.

Will this happen? No. I think the team will be as Clyde minus maybe Milne. We will still have one route from Cuthbert out. No one getting to the high punt from the rear and James heading the ball powerfully from defence to no one and powderpuff inside their box.

My plan for the team to hit the target is to have their pay cheques in envelopes in the goal nets. If they get the ball in they can have their cheque. If they keep hitting the corner flag, the ball boys get the cheque. Performance related pay

Bloody right, I reckon I'm going to wear every piece of clothing I own on Saturday!! :)

Team I think Coyle will pick:

________________Cuthbert

Mensing______Rusty______James________Stanic

_______Stevenson__Sheridan___Sheerin

________________McCann

____________Dobbie_____Scotland

Team that I would play:

________________Cuthbert

Mensing_____Rusty______James_______Stanic

___________Sheridan____Sheerin

Anderson________Stevenson_________McAnespie

________________Scotland

I realise Ando's out of position and I wouldn't have him there as a long-term option, but I think that under the current injury circumstances he could potentially do a good job for us on the right-wing. He played very well for us in a similar position away to raith Rovers last season.

Sorry Mr Blue Heaven sir, but i think we'd be nuts to play that team! Anderson on the right wing! He's a decent defender, but anytime I've seen him play wing-back his crossing's been extremely poor, and he often gave the ball away trying to beat a man. Also the last thing we need to do against one of the weakest teams in the league, in a game we need to win, is to play a five man midfield, which is what your formation appears to suggest.

As I said on another thread, I'd go back to a 4-3-1-2, get the full backs forward to provide width and concentrate on getting Scotland turned and running at their defence, because this is where he does the most damage for me. I'd also bring Janczyk back in for Sheerin to give him a kick up the arse, and Coyle would start whoever's fit. My team would be:

-------------Cuthbert------------
Anderson---Rusty---James---Stanic
-----Stevo---Sheridan---Janczyk
--------------Scotland------------
-------Coyle--------Dobbie/Milne

This is Dobbies big chance

or some people think his last chance

If Coyle starts ahead of him then its obvious to me that he has lost faith in Dobbie and I can see us moving him on in January

I would pick my team as they are all FIT. Playing half fit or less players reduce the pace, running off the ball and can seriously damage the player. The way the midfield especially has been bypassed by the defence is either a symptom of the defence having no faith in them or avoiding giving the ball to them as they are unfit. The lack of support to the front players would indicate either a lack of fitness or a lack of ability. You can take your pick but to me the only way to improve is to try the squad players and see if they can bridge that gap and get us playing football.
If they cannot, there is no point in them being in the squad.

Well doubts seem to be Rutkewicz, James, Dobbie, Savo.

Dobbie's is a hamstring according to the courier - bad news as that will only leave us Coyle and Scotland. Doris on the bench maybe?

If one of the two kev's are out i'd push Anderino into centre half (his natural position!) and play Mensing out on the right!

Different team, different style, more in the wage budget........Still the same pish as last year, absolutly woefull, no idea long ball crap. Out of it by christmas again. Not that I expected us to win is, but thought we would be closer to the top than the potential 13 ish points (if midden win game in hand?) we are looking at at the moment. Need to get rid of the dead wood that was playing today, and that is a lot of wood!!!!
