Breadalbane's modern day rise through the amateur ranks can be almost traced back exactly to when you left them can it not? :D

You won't be able to play in puddles at amateur level Frenchy, should definitely stick with PSJ :D

Obviously we wouldn't stand in your way (we cant :-(), but may I make one wee comment from experience... I played amateurs for two seasons as I was unable to afford to see Saints much, and whilst it was okay, it became a chore and I missed the fact I could go and see Saints. It's fair to say that most players you come up against now are amateur level and you would not be pushing yourself much further than you are now. The one thing in amateurs favour is more regular games, but we are not too bad ,weather permitting.

If I was so bold as to suggest, if it's about more regular football... stick with us, you get the craic and get to see Saints and play Pub League too, they have regular games and between the two, that's lots of footy.

Best of luck in whatever you decide.

I could possibly make it to Ayr for the second half, can't get out of doing the first couple of hours at work. Going to the saints game so would be space in my car from Ayr to dumfries if anyone needed a lift there.

They have offered but turned it down as folk will need to leave relatively sharp to get to Dumfries.

Al C
07-02-2008, 02:10 PM
I will be driving G and myself from Hamilton, will leave at about 9am. The Southern Orbital now means that Glasgow can be completely avoided on the way to Ayr.

If somebody can drive from Glasgow then that ideally suits. If they can't then train to Hamilton is straightfroward and can leave from there.

I am going to Saints game afterwards so ideally would go direct but if necessary will go back via Hamilton and then down the M74.

Rodgers said he is geting the bus back from the Saints game, so if there is a bit of a push with Perth folk going to games and geting hame, that gives an extra space as somebody could jump in with a weegie to get to Dumfries then take his place in the car coming back up

Perth Cats - Wee Lee, Rodgers, Capt Kev, Dunbar, Wonka, Elvis, Dale, Chopper, Sanj, Barca. Meet at Tesco at 7.15am - any probs let Kev know. Directions to where we are playing earlier in the thread so make sure you take a copy!!

Other cats - Rodge, Al, G, Burn, Smith.

Spew is hoping to arrive for the second half and will be going to Saints game after so will have room if required. Should have plenty of cars for getting to Dumfries.

Tough game tomorrow and know it is an early start but please make sure you show up!! We will need everyone tomorrow. We are on a great run and hopefully we can keep it going. No reason why we can't.

This one finished in a two nil defeat for PSJ. PSJ MOM was G, Opposition MOM was Dale.

It was as tough a game as expected with the swirling wind making it even harder. I thought we played well though and matched KaisAyr, especially in the first half. First goal was always going to be crucial and so it proved.

The ref was not to blame for the result but he certainly didn't help. It felt like every 50/50 went their way and the throw in for their first goal was blatanlty ours - you may have noticed me having a debate with the ref about it. Being elbowed in the face and him not noticing was also not that great but had given up expecting a decision by that point.

We get the chance for revenge next Saturday when we host KaisAyr in Almondbank. Another tough game but no reason we can't get a win. See seperate thread for squad confirmation etc. Cheers.
