how do ross county have to play in their game in hand? cause scumdee, stranraer and queens all have played 24 so if the county beat who ever it is they go 2 points ahead of us! well happy with the results today!!

Very easy win today against an extremely poor Brechin side. Nothing spectacular about the performance, but we got the job done and that's all that mattered. Was impressed by Winter's debut - good control on the ball, an impressive range of passing and he got involved in the game far more than Henry has done. Can't really say much about Glennon - had absolutely nothing to do apart from a few kicks, but they'll both be judged against better opposition than that.

The results today set up the St. Mirren game brilliantly - hopefully we'll get a couple of players in before the deadline, and you never know, it could still be a title decider on the 29th of April!

Thought we were quite good today - sure, Brechin looked demoralised and poorer than they have in other games against us in recent years, but it wasn't impossible that we could have slipped up and everyone in the team went about things extremely professionally. Our players looked sharp, held their concentration and were first to practically every ball.

Winter perhaps faded a bit before he was taken off, but generally looked good - got stuck in, made his presence felt, and was willing to try a range of passing instead of just giving the ball to the guy closest to him all the time as Henry often seems to. Definitely looks a much more effective player than Henry.

Can't really judge Glennon on that because he had nothing to do, but everyone else gets pass marks from me - especially The Wizard who was scintillating. Fact!

Today's results also just go to show how premature a lot of folk were in saying the season was over a few weeks back - despite our awful festive period, it's only taken a handful of decent results to blow things wide open again. Managers don't have their "until it's mathematically impossible" mantra for nothing, you know!

Nice easy win - didn't even get out of second gear. Winter looks a good signing - we played some really neat stuff in the middle of the park. Thought it was absolutely disguising that Coyle dropped Cutbert. Also, I wish Coyle would learn how to stay onside - he was rotten today.

Overall, our midfield was the best thing about the game - really nice to be able to say that!

Solid enough performance - Winter looked good in midfield. Certainly created more than Henry. And while we looked solid defensively I thought the midfield looked a lot better and more willing to push forward - Sheerin and Ryan both seemed to get forward more.

But (and there had to be one) I'd liked to have seen Jackson or Doris get a run out today. Owen doesn't look sharp enough and I'm getting sick of him constantly pleading with the referee rather than get on with the game. I'm worried he's getting to set on getting these 7 goals (or whatever it is) at the cost of the team effort.

BTW anyone else think Dobbie might have gotten the wrong idea with that big cheer when he came on (at the same time the Love St score was shown?)

He may have done but he done more in 5 mins that Coyle and Scotland did in the whole game. Looked very sharp - maybe worth a start next game :?:

Personally I thought Saints were gash!! Reason? We could and should have put 7 or 8 past Brechin, but we didn't. OC is showing that he wants to score above anything else and is blaming all and sundry for the ball not being here he has asked for it, although he is either offside or in such a bad position that he could never do anything with it!!

Spot on radford.

We played some neat possesion football today, do tha against midden and they will pressure us, leaving alot more space than brechin did.
Although not a spectacular performance, the job was finished at half time, we just went on to keep a clean sheet and ensure 3 points, no harm at all in that.

As for Coyle, thought he did well today, he links up very well, and his chances will come im sure of it.

He would be ok if he had a first touch and a slight inkling of what the offside rule is :?

Saying that, we are playing better with him in the side so how can I complain :)

Needs a goal to boost his confidence. Hope he gets a few subby appearances and gets to come on for longer than 8mins or so.

By the way, lovely pass by Scotland for The Wizard's goal :D

Spot on Broon, that is the big dilemna at the moment - IMHO OC does not deserve to be on the bench never mind starting games with his form on the pitch, but until today, he has been getting the best out of those arround him, especially Jason. Nice problem to have though

Agree with Radford, some of OC's touches and runs were great today, and he motivates all around him.

How many games have Brechin lost more than 4 games this year. Expecting a team to score 7 or 8 IMHO disrespectful to teh opposition. Saints played comfortable today and yet again I thought some of teh moaners comments to OC were incredible the guy has started 3 games in a row with 9 points coming our way. We are now 11 league games unbeaten at McD.

OC moans like that during a 5-a-side match it's just his style.

I personally thought we played okay , OC knows that he can get a lot more from his players and he will no doubt push them more in preperation for the last 11 games this season. He has made two good signings and I tjink theses two can only make the team even stronger.

I would like to also say I thought that the referee and assistant referees done a great job. Thought the Ref was the best we have had all season so far and the assistants where allowed to make there own decisions, flagging for free kicks etc (instead of being told to flag for offside and throw ins and leave the rest to the ref).

Get ready for Chopper having a heart attack  , but I agree completely with you Shug, it was nice to see a ref actually laughing and joking with players from both teams and trying to let the game flow were possible. He made some mistakes but I believe they were genuine errors and when you see a guy trying as much as he did then you tend to forgive them much more easily. The proof of the pudding, was me arriving home without the customary sore throat from hurling abuse at the officials.

I don't think it's too difficult to look sharp for 10 mins against a team that is bottom of the league, getting beat 3-0 and who are just waiting for the final whistle so they can get off the pitch - a bit different against the top of the league who have lost a few points recently and have something to prove.

It wasn't ground-breaking performance, but I was chuffed with us. For anyone to say we were gash is totally over the top.

For me, the most pleasing thing was that we were creating the chances while not playing at a high tempo. 2 goals up at half time and cruising, it became a training game for the second 45, and there was no need to risk injuries etc when the game was won, especially with our good goal difference at the moment.

More importantly, it is an unbeaten month in the league and, hopefully, we can make that 2 months over the next couple of very tough games!!!
