Agreed - still, it is another one for him to get it up the Coags at Dense Park

This has gotta be a joke.

I don't rate him at all, and most of the Dees at my work said they wouldnae be too bothered if he left Dens cos he's not much of a threat.

This smells like last-minute desperation to me.

Rather see Jackson or Doris on the Bench than this trouble-starting nyaff.

Agree, sounds like Coyle will take anyone now, with losing out on Morrow. What about Steven Fletcher at hibs?, with 2 new strikers in, will he not be available?

Don't be so sure - 14 minutes is a long time to get a fax into the SFA

Coyle obviously wants a pacy striker in the team and had his hopes set on Morrow, but their late decision to use him as bait for Dalglish has thrown that out of the window. Plan B was McManus and this has had to become Plan A!!!

As for Hibs gaining 2 strikers, they have only gained 1 as morrow is unavailable until the summer

Do we really want this guy?
Hes coming to us onloan from Scumdee.......am i correct?
I always thought he was an ok guy but would he get a good welcome

He would be on loan until the end of the season, with the option of a permanent deal in the summer, should it come off.

If it comes off, then he'll do do quite well I feel.

Would be a good stop gap. Right wing/striker so he's versatile. Not sure if it'll come off to be honest

Can we not sign two players out of the transfer window? or is that just players for free

I thought Saints and Dundee could make that loan deal at anytime.
Are SFL clubs and loan deals not outside the transfer window?
I've not read the rulings to be honest because I haven't needed to.
I searched the web.

I think McManus has obviously lost his way a bit but I think he may need a career lift. We've done that successfully with players over the years.
He was brilliant in the Scotland 3 Lithuania 2 U21 game when he came on. He came on when we were 2-0 down.

Nope, the "joker" system went in the summer.

Any idea who the other club were, Gav?

Nope, my mate just said it wasn't an SPL club so guessing who needs what at the moment, possibly St. Mirren or Hamilton :?

Notice that Chick young surpassed himself last night saying taht the transfer deadline didn't affect the SFL clubs. And that's froma St Mirren fan

According to Jim Spence teh other CLub was Livi but the deal fell through after Sam Morrow moved form Hibs.

'The transfer window doesn't apply in the SFL' but that's his wee club though isn't it.
If there was a word called numpties I'd use it.
Pity about the joker system though Chopper, I'll be honest and say I didn't notice that. :)

Did you notice early on in the thread someone suggested Fletcher from Hibs as a possible loan signing. Oh, the irony...

He has been released by Falkirk as he has not played a game for them since signing in the summer. Does that mean he can sign for anybody now that he is a free agent ?.
