Not one of those pointless threads where the arsenal fans say we will then the spurs fans come on and ridicule them.
Barcelona look best equipped to win the comp, with front 3 or Ronaldinho, Messi and Eto'o. Nuff said

Viva Barca" 8)
I think Barcelona are the best side but when it comes to the knockout phase after Christmas/New Year then it's more of a lottery than the league setup where the cream rises. The sudden death of the knockout is much more exciting but there's no way Liverpool were the best club in Europe last season (no matter what Radford says). Chelsea must also be in the running because they're difficult to beat and don't let many goals in but Barcelona opened them up 3 times at Stamford Bridge this year and are much better now Let's not talk about Henry and Barcelona yet but oh dear that's close to invincible in football terms.
Historical precedence says you should never discount Juventus, Real Madrid or Inter Milan. Strangely Chelsea, Man Utd and AC Milan are all on the edge between going out or qualifying. It's tough.
Maybe a small club will win it again like little Glasgow Rangers who knows but I doubt it. To be fair they are in 2nd place just now but have to go to Porto tonight and then have Inter Milan at home. Maybe if Rangers get an away result tonight and then Inter Milan take their foot off the pedal since they have qualified then they might have a slim chance of going through. We Saints fans live in hope with the big boys so why shouldn't they.

ona 1 off day any one of a hat ful could win it - juve inter ac barca chelsea bayern being the main 6 off the top of my head. would be surprised if its not 1 of them. barca do look amazingly good at the moment and it has to be said they are the ones to catch at the moment. I've gota sneaky feeling about inter milan, dont know why but i just feel they could be there at the end of the comp.

Scotland's 4th placed team could qualify for the Champions League knockout stages last 16.
That's a very good result for Rangers.
Mind you they can't criticise us or any other clubs for sitting in when we go to their grounds.

Rangers will loose to Inter for sure, but i cant see Bratislava picking up more points from Porto, so Porto will go through

Not "FOR SURE" I don't think.
Inter will play a reserve team or certainly rest several top players as they have won the group already. They are reknowned for doing that.
That gives the Rangers a great chance.

I agree that Rangers will stand a better chance of a result with some of Inter's stars missing but take seven players out of the Rangers team and you've got East stirling but take seven players out of this pool and you've got a fairly good team :) (providing their mentally up for a game they don't need to win or break a leg) -
