Was torn between Millar and the captain up until the 90th minute, when Midge nicked it and gets my vote for the second week in a row.
Same choice to be made for me as well. I'm going to give my vote to James though because I feel most people will vote for Millar!

I thought Swankie was excellent when he came on and Millar was great throughout but Sheerin was just class and when he was moved to LB in the second half I thought he was calm and in full control.Penalty kick goal was icing on cake....M.O.M. Paul Sheerin

Sounds like the same reasoning that will make disaffected Labour supporters vote for David Cameron!

To be honest you're right, it is pretty terrible reasoning.
I'm happy with my vote though, he was a huge influence today.

Credit where it's due to Kevin James for sorting the defence and goalkeeping horror show out big time. I voted for Millar though because he kept us going in attack.

I am happy to see James back although one swallow doth not a summer make. Lets hope he can maintain fitness and be a Saints star for the remainder of the season, although I would prefer the defence to be anonymous and our strikers dominant.

Chris Millar for runing all day, same great passing and getting the spot kick.

Paul Sheerin for the fantastic display in the second half - he may have lost a lot of pace but he can read the game, and pass the ball better than anyone else in the side.

Chris Millar again impressed me, while Kevin James provided much needed stability at the back.
However, I'll give my vote to McLean for a much improved performance between the sticks.

McLean kept us in it at 0-0 with 2 or 3 really good stops,Kev was dominant, but Millar was superb, constantly working and good use of the ball.Sheerin was fine ,but his poor ball landed Craig in trouble, that led to the red card, thought he made a genuine attempt to get the ball, and was unlucky for the red

Chris millar by a mile or so....if only the other ten around him showed the same attitude and calmness.
Was surprised to hear that Colin Samuel had pulled a hamstring at half time...didnt know you could do that by walking about !!!
Between Millar and Hardie for me, will give it some thought then place my vote!

Rubbish logic.

Millar was immense and could prove to be an extremely good signing by Del. He gets it for me.
Mention too though for Captain James; made a difference although was beaten to a few high balls by some midget ned in their attack. Will put that down to lack of match fitness - just glad to have him back.
Rubbish logic.
Miller for me.
Rubbish spelling.

James for me, Millar was the best player on the park, but without James in defence I don't think we would of won that game. I don't know if that makes sense...

Off topic, ban this charlatan post building wind up merchant ;)
Serious though, can't start voting for the guy you think was 2nd placed MOM, you'd be the first to have a go a someone else about that.

Millar again for me - thought James and Hardie did well though.

In all fairness you're right, I've made that kind of point to others in the past (possibly unfairly). As I said above, it isn't good logic. It's just that I was torn between the two and couldn't decide who to vote for. I didn't really say James or Millar were 2nd place MOM, more that they were my two candidates and I was looking for some reason to choose one over the other. In a 3-2-1 scenario like on the supporters buses it may have been easier.
It's a poor justification for choosing one or the other but I would stick by my vote for James in this game because his influence was hugely important in our improved defensive showing today.

I'll let you off this once and not report you to the mods. Come on the Saints.

Chris Millar looked great, Kevin James was solid too. MMM was not looking too hot in the first half but he was back to his usual self in the second half.

MILLAR for me but big kev ran him a close second,: and its so good to have him back. Chris millar looks a class act and if he can stay injury free we have a wee gem on our hands. I also have to give a wee mention for Gary irvine, i thought he was excellent today.:D:D:D

Have to say i touted MIllar as a key signing this year and at the moment im being proved right he had a great game and is going to give Morris a hard time getting back into the team. But i just feel today James made a huge difference,he brought such a pressence to the game and I feel the team and defence esspecially get driven on by him. I think having James in defence seems to up Rusty's game and take the pressure off him and was a crucial player in getting a clean sheet.

The big keeper for me. Considering the abuse he has had on here I thought he was superb. Nice early save and his confidence was restored. Almost single handedly guaranteed us the clean sheet.
I agree James was good but he had to rely on McLean to make two good saves after griffiths done him with a change of pace.
Miller was also superb, as was hardie. Liked the look of swankie too.

Tough choice, millar was outstanding, but the wizard showed his class at left back. And for that he gets my MOM
