Stollen of Div 2 p&b, but thought it would be interesting.....
Decions must relate to your opinion of the players ability at present.
Personally....i'd go for the obvious Paul Hartley, but i'd love to see momo sylla back, wot a player he was before celtic ruined his career.
Feel free to make obscure choices!

best memory of him, that goal against the huns.... :***:

Would have to be Hartley. He would provide the ammunition required for our strike force.

What is he up to these days anyway. Didn't he go off to Japan or something?
What a player though! Would love to have him back.

John Brogan quality prolific scorer 8)
Have to be MoMo I think.
Alan Main would be nice too though!
Simao I think runs a bar in Portugal?
Not entirely sure... but don't think I'd welcome him back anyway.

Theres a few, kinda hard to choose....Momo, Main, Simao, and Hartley deserve a mention, but i will go for Nick Dasovic....The only Saintee to score in a national cup final, and what a goal it was too!

Ok if we are going on players of the past and not players who we have had but are stil playing to a standard now, I would go for
Main
McQuillan Baltacha Kernagan McVicar
Jenkinson Curran Dassa Preston
McCoist Roddy
Subs
Dino, Sammy Johnston, Brogan, Rutherford, O'Neil

I think the point of the original question was players who are still playing at the moment - and to be honest I struggle to think of anyone. Most of the guys from our European team are now too old, and I don't think there are many players we've released since who are much (or any) better than we have now. Momo had great talent but was a trouble-maker by all accounts so I wouldn't want him. I'd take Hartley back if he came along with an assurance that we'd get him in his Hearts/Scotland form - but if he played like he did most of the time for Saints I wouldn't be interested. I sometimes wish Bryan McLaughlin hadn't left because I thought he was a good player and we could do with a left winger at the moment - but he doesn't seem to have done massively well for QoS since his return there. Griffin's good but too injury prone. Nathan Lowndes would be a good signing I think, but we're not really desperate for a striker. So I suppose my choice would have to be Callum Davidson.

this may be off topic slightly but was hartley ever that amazing for us? i totally missed how he went from us to hearts then to become somewhat of the medai stud he is these days!
i would love mr oboyle back surehe could still stick a few in these days.
i dont know its a tough question cause players that are great for us and then get sold are always quite quiet for other clubs!
i would go for momo
