Kevin Rutkiewicz for me.
Yeah, have to agree. Very tidy today and always cleared his lines.
Was impressed with Sammy when he came on, looked hungry and had some nice touches.

Hardie for me, crucial contribution again today I dont look for silky or flash from him its hard work what he does.He helped get us to the top last week and he kept us there today.

To be fair, if Hardie's put a little more zip on that ball, he'd have scored again from a free kick. Seems he's got quite a bit of confidence in it, now! Good for him. Not the prettiest player, but gets the job done and has scored absolutely vital goals for us this season.

Rusty was solid; Hardie put in an aggressive and important shift in the middle; Savo -as always- worked his socks off up front; Samuel looked really classy when he came on; Sheerin's determined run and cross to set up winning goal was great. But my vote goes to Millar. Involved in just about everything today.

Martin Hardie for me, beginning to kinda resemble the player we all lapped up the season before last.

i thought rusty was solid today, performed far better than everyone else today

Went for Hardie, either him or Rusty. Millar put in a decent shift, but got caught fannying about a few times as well when he really should have got rid of the ball. I know his strength is not wasting a pass and ball retention, but sometimes you need to get rid of it instead of dancing around on the edge of your own box.
I went for Hardie.
It would be a shame if he misses the game at Dens but his booking was deserved - he'd crunched one of their boys a couple of minutes beforehand and the ref had played advantage.

He misses the trip to Clyde, doesn't he?
A few others are sailing very close to the wind, as well.

I'm sure Radford has already informed us that it will be the scumdee match.
Found it....
For some reason, the way it works up here is that if you go through the points barrier, you serve your suspension 14 days afterwards, so a booking in either of the next two matches would rule Ruti out of the derby (as we have a free weekend following the Clyde game)

Savo....a power of running!

At least Dundee aren't as much of a physical side as some others, and we can afford to have a bit of a more 'lightweight' midfield. Either that or...
We'll have to field McKoy... :(

I don't think Jody is quite ready to start. Moon to start, Morris off the bench.

No real failures, but probably Hardie.
Rusty was braw too.

I went for Ruti who was solid for 90 mins. His performances recently have been superb. Chris Millar had a great game today and covered every blade of grass. A little surprised at the amount of votes for Hardie. I actually thought he struggled in the first half and was off the pace.
CynicalSaintee
08-11-2008, 08:35 PM
I don't think Hardie needs to play that well to have an effect. He's a big man who hassles players and adds beef to our midfield and is doing his job well enough.
Kevin Rutkiewicz for me.
you can tell who i voted for. i dont mind ,you did a few weeks ago .grass

Another good team performance but Millar for me just ahead of Rusty and Irvine. Just a pity Millar missed that chance near the end!

Might have gone for Millar if he hadn`t missed the chance to put us on easy street. Can understand the votes for Hardie as he scored a good goal & he bosses the midfield but have voted for Ruti as he was immense.

I went for Millar, thought he was the one player who showed confidence and class on the ball all afternoon (apart from 1 sloppy pass that I can remember). I really cant see where the votes for Hardie are coming from based on todays performance, I am one of his biggest fans but thought he looked really off the pace today and was surprised he wasn't taken off when Morris came on, great header for the first goal though.

Ok, a bit late on Sunday morning for this perhaps... Wizard - thought he pulled the strings in midfield 2nd half for us after a poor overall 1st half team showing. Nice interpaly with Liam which gets better every week, some great touches and a vision our team is priveleged to have, a great cross for Sammy's winner, and general all round effing class...

Remember that he will only miss the Dundee game if all his bookings have been worth 3 points. You (on rare occasion) get 1 point or 2 point bookings as well. The SFA suspension list is out on Thursday.

True. He definitely got one for dissent a few weeks ago, would that make any difference?

He is only banned if every booking he got was given a 3 point penalty. Which is not always the case.

Are you Radford's echo these days?
Rusty for me. Very assured at the back, and would've deservedly gotten his clean sheet if it wasn't for Main's flap!

They were waiting on the ball coming down! They're not 8 feet tall.

after mains 'flap' the defense stood still, the county guy near enough had a free header

The vid` will soon be up & we will all see then. My impression was that it didn`t look like Main was getting it & the defence would have been going to the ball but Main just got a hand to it diverting it to the head of County man who couldn`t miss.
SaintSam1884
10-11-2008, 09:04 PM
what about the defense standing still?
If the goalkeeper is going to come for a cross, he must either catch it or at least make enough contact with the ball to get it away from any immediate danger. Main misjudged it completely and in the end could only place it onto the head of the County player who was left with a free header and an unguarded goal since Main was by this point lying on the ground. All players make mistakes - Main made one with that goal.

With their being 14 days until the derby, I'd be amazed if today's booking doesn't take him through the points threshold.

Same might go for Liam - both his and MMM's cards were for petty offences.
