What has the world come to when a supposedly sensible member of the forum is using his/her avater for such disgraceful political purposes?! This type of behaviour could be deemed as highly inflammatory from anyone visiting this site. And I feel it is a slur on St. Johnstone that this 'person' be associated with us

Surely the moderators have to take responsibility and stamp this out.

I don't think Dev's poster is about the conflict in Northern Ireland (hopefully) and not about that old prison. I think it's about the controversial move of the Northern Ireland stadium to that old prison location and the campiagn by those hoping to keep the stadium in Belfast 'No To The Maze'. http://www.stadiumforbelfast.com/

I hope so anyway.

I've just had a quick look round the avatars and I can't see anything I'd consider "sectarian", but it's difficult to say without knowing who Rave's referring to.

You're correct. It has absolutely nothing to do with sectarianism and everything to do with my interest in football stadia. The plans for a new stadium located on the former Maze prison site are absolutely appalling and could potentially be very harmful to football in Northern Ireland. I suppose that it does have a lot to do with politics however - it is for entirely political reasons that the new stadium for Northern Ireland will end up being a complete fiasco. No-one is looking at what is best for football fans, that is why I have a "Say No To The Maze" poster.

I don't know if you want me to discuss the various reasons why the Maze is the wrong solution so I won't go into it. It is simply my belief that the Northern Irish football team should not relocate to the Maze and should preferably remain in Belfast. The government should not force the IFA to move into a white elephant of a stadium that is in a terrible location and far too large for the needs of football. Members of Northern Ireland Supporters Clubs voted on the subject - 92% of the members were dead against the idea of football at the Maze. They should be listened to.

The sectarian problem may be an issue for some people involved in this argument but my opinion is based purely on the needs of football supporters.

I'm 37.
