Shirt blunder for Diawarra
Fousseni Diawarra is the laughing-stock of French football after forgetting to wear his shirt when replacing Loic Perrin during St Etienne's game with Marseille.
The Mali international was about to enter the game following the injury to Perrin but was then informed that he had no shirt on.
During the five minutes it took for staff to locate Diawarra's shirt, the 10 men of St Etienne conceded both goals in the 2-0 defeat.
The defender is taking full blame for the defeat and can not understand what happened.
"I know everybody is laughing at me," he said.
"I have penalised the whole team and apologised to them. I am so sorry, after the match I couldn't sleep.
"I don't know why it happened, I was sure I was wearing my shirt.
"Marseille's stadium is very big, that's why it took so long to find the shirt."
Very amusing, especially his excuse at the end, which makes no sense whatsoever. How pissed off would you be though if something similar happened to a Saints player...
