Marley Watkins isn't out of our range. From speaking to one of caleys main sponsors, Watkins is on around £750 a week with bonuses, as was Billy McKay. Shinnie was highest paid on around a grand and went to Aberdeen as they offered him £4k a week!! I believe tansey is now their highest paid on £1100 as he just signed new deal recently. Watkins would be a great signing for us and would give us a better option than croft

Have been fortunate over the years to spend a bit of time at Frankies fine pub and his customers at the Bullfrog. The Saturday night after a Saints game (bout 1am) with his locals and my sons University mates will live long in the memory. Will be at the club on Saturday morning to welcome them as should those that SHOULD make the effort. We had a fantastic time at the Bullfrog before the cup final and Frankie and his staff did us proud. Spent tonight with Ian Grant the bus convenor sorting the finances from the QOS cup game. There has been a positive surplus on the buses and with the raffle a decent sum will go a ways to offset the losses the buses incurred to date. Thanks to Ian Grant (Postie) for the effort and the time spent organising same. R

The Old saying you "never miss what you never had" is ringing out loud and clear in our household today. For the best part of 50 years I have seen us get put out of the cup in some dire performances against teams above us and below us in the league placing's at the particular time. It has never really been a big issue before as for 49 of these years I have always said/ or was told by our elders that we would be knocked out eventually anyway?? That changed last year when we didna get knocked out at all and we went on to win the Cup. Some of the antics yesterday and on here are nearing the Ugly sister behaviour that they expect to win the cup every year and if they are knocked out then it is them that was shite, the pitch was crap. NEVER THAT WE GOT BEAT ON THE DAY FROM THE BETTER TEAM. If our fantastic fans who turn out for the big games desert us again because we are out of the cup and nothing to play for then so be it. we have survived for these last 50 years under this circumstances and I am sure the loyal 2000 fans will continue to support the team as normal. An other old saying of "Grow up for **** sake" springs to mind also today. Rant Over.
