Saints v Partick Th. 17th Oct

We've played worse and won, and we will do again. Midfield was poor, stood off too much and let them play. Miller,s goal was a great strike, the second one would've ended up on the car park on another day. Hey ho, can't win them all, but we'll win more than we lose this season. Onwards and upwards, COYS.

yet another example of where a linesman should have been the one taking the authority as he had the best view in the stadium of this as ever though, they wait to see what the Ref decides and just go along with it Boils my piss when the ball goes out for a throw in and the linesman stands looking to see what way the ref gives it, and then flags in compliance

So......I'm in Southend hospital at the moment waiting for the wife to squeeze out a little boy. I thought it would be nice to have a thread dedicated to the future stars of our fan base. Although born in Essex he will be a true Saint. We already have the new born Saints baby kit ready and I can't wait to bring him up for his first game. Fingure crossed I'll be a proud daddy of a healthy baby saintee by the end of the day. Hopefully one day he will be able to - along with my daughter - witness what I did on May 17th 2014. I raise my wife's lucozade bottle to all the new born Saints. Cheers

I suppose the reality is that people don't know everything that goes on behind the scenes. I don't think anyone questions that TW or JH would have been potentially a better appointment than Mixu (although I like Mixu and think he could do well). With interest made known, either TW or JH could have been unhappy at their clubs, or had some concerns about the future that we don't know about. If either had genuinely fancied moving to United it would have happened. Don't ask you don't get I guess. From our point of view it underlines that TW IS happy here, and the longer contract does nothing but endear him further to the fan base. Win-win in a way.

My understanding is that the club have reshaped the finances of the club. For a decade Utd carried dangerously high levels of debt, to the bank, a deal has been done and this debt is now in the form of 'soft' loans, without interest or urgency for repayment. It is now under control and the club are in a financialy heathy condition, i take your point debt free may not be the correct term, but we are now no longer losing money at a perilous level, and the debt is no longer threatening the future of the club....it was for a long time ET, god bless him, was a fan with money, never a good combination. ST is an altogether more grounded individual...not to say he has not made mistakes, but on balance he has done a great job.

    Michael O'Halloran

Can't understand the people on here and Facebook saying he's "miles" from being good enough for it. If the likes of Shinnie, Reynolds, Paterson and Forrest can be called up then surely O'Halloran can be a real candidate to be picked too.

Gemma Fay was on Sportsound the other night commentating on the Glasgow City v Chelsea game. Very clued up on the game and also gave a big mention to her hometown team , the manager and her love of Dundee United

Gave Virgil Van Dyke a torrid time on more than one occasion as well. Definitely something going on. He's either picked up some bad habits down south or is suffering from a Falcao level crisis of confidence. Either way, I don't really care. We got paid.
