  1. Loving the directness of the new lad doing the interview. Sounds like a real saintee with his questions. No more "what is the feeling in the lacquer room" type question to three different people. He managed to get Tommy riled, get in there !

  2. Surely Chris Millar should be spending more time drinking and gambling rather than keeping fit and making provision for life after football?

  3. Why not use Scougall as Millar's successor. He's tidy on the ball, keeps possession well and clearly isn't a winger. I think he could really excel for us in that position.

  4. OMG you never miss an opportunity do you mrs. If you have read previous comments you will see I don't buy in to this love in with Midge. I liked him in years gone by but just think he has come to the end of his time. Did okay on Saturday but think he gets carried a bit in the middle by Murray. retreats and puts on tin helmet

  9. Back to his best on Saturday, winning every header and tackle, even had a smile on his face a few times, not seen that during games for a few months.

  13. it has been a while but hopefully this time i can keep you more up to date with the youth at st johnstone and results. The u17s are into the final part of the season ,with losses to Ross county and Morton away ,as far as i know there was a few younger lads in these squads due to some injuries , some older ones going with the 20s ,and he who cant be named had the mumps and was told to stay away from the ground so that saved a trip to dingwall and a very cold snowy trip to greenock . these games were followed up with a home game against alloa ,and saints ran out 2 0 winners with goals from O HAMILTON AND J NORTHCOTT,mini sevco played his first game in about 3 months and set up Mr Hamilton nicely for him to chip the keeper ,Mr northcott scored a nice goal also giving saints a deserved win . yesterday we were of down to Airdrie for what is usually a very physical and difficult game .Saints took the lead after 38 mins with a deft through ball from MR H with mini sevco scoring his first goal in a good while this was followed up with a 2 goals either side of half time from Mr wolley then another goal from mini , with Mr H feeling left out he decided to score two of his own in the space of two mins Saints won the game 6 0 . This Tuesday the 16s are playing rangers at murry park and next Sunday the 17s are at home to Celtic ,and a victory on Sunday would make my 7th 38 birthday a very good one . two players from the 17s ,mini sevco and Mr wolley are both now full time at saints and now in the 20s squads for development games ,Mr w has been in squads for a while now and has had some playing time already ,mini and Mr w both came on against hibs and handled themselves very well last Tuesday. after this seasons the 17s will be no more ,project brave has started with games now played jan to nov with squads now ending at 16s instead of the jump from 15s to 17s .the jump is now 16 to 18s and the 20s will also be no more with the introduction of what i hear will be u23 squads .

  14. As been mentioned above, that was the best performance home of season. Scoring early helped and the players looked relaxed and enjoying their football. I really liked shaughnessy's reaction to the county throw-in by absolutely smashing Fraser with the ball. The desire to be first to every ball was the most pleasing aspect

  23. There is no doubt that Midge has got himself into great shape and he has made a real impact of late. However, I think it only serves to underline the importance of signing an able replacement to play alongside Muzz to bring out the best in him. Millar will be 35 in a few weeks(so the same time next year will be 36). The Scottish Premiership is a tough league as this season has proven and we need as many players available for as many matches as possible. It could be that McClean is being blooded to be Millar’s replacement but it does seem premature to expect him to make such a leap over the next 12 months.

  25. I feel TW made a big mistake and has under estimated the value of Midge. If midge can have his training regime nmanaged and keep his hamstring problems at bay, I see no reason why he can not handle a game a week.

  26. County’s appointment of Owen Coyle is a forward thinking one. He did reasonably well for us in the 2nd tier before.

  28. That is one of the worst teams I've ever seen in the top flight. County are going down. Owen Coyle instructing his team not to give the ball back has paid him with karma. Ha! Red card. I could see similarity in our performances a few games ago to County today - no purpose, no tactics, no determination. That was a very good performance by us today and hit the bar and Craigs lob in injury time could have had it at 4 easily. Good to see some spirit back and players playing with a smile once again. Fans in the whole were patient and supportive, good to see. Some will still look for faults, but we'e just had the best home performance of the season and I can see further improvements happening. We got some purpose once again and know how to get results. Next game can't come quick enough! Well played lads. Cheers Tommy for playing 2 up front!
