    Dundee v Saints

Yeah Dundee were rubbish, but Saints were awesome, take nothing away from that performance. Defenders throwing themselves into challenges in our box was like the Saints of old. Loads of positive comments about various players, I believe Macca deserves a lot of credit for his own performance, excellent hold up play, fight for everything, and clearly excels with a younger striker alongside him instead of being expected to do it all himself. The stramash at the end was just annoying, as our players just wanted to celebrate with us. If Mcann's actions are proved to be true, then I'd be surprised if he keeps his job. Anyway, never mind that, let's just celebrate a five star performance from Saints. Onwards and upwards, another season in the premiership awaits.

  3. Agreed, he was very good today. Big involvement in the second goal by chasing down what seemed a lost cause, and then a sublime through ball for Kane in the build up to the third. What about Ando's chest pass in the lead up to the second goal??!!

  4. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43359908 Really not the wise to start on the kit man. Either we have been a jacket short all season or he is a bit nuts wearing just a t-shirt all the time.

Great performance and back to that hungry team, closing down the opposition that I love. Thought Joe had a great game - I like him here, he was very comfortable. Whole team were outstanding but I'm singling out 2 players for special mention and they are Alston and Kane. I've heard some negative clap trap about Alston in recent weeks but I'll back him to to hilt - he has lots to offer and in the next few weeks I think we'll see him grow in confidence he was brilliant yesterday. I was moaning earlier in the season about Kane being let out on loan - I think he is huge star in the making for us and he looked like a dangerous old fashioned center forward holding up play and giving the Dundee rearguard a headache all day - he's made that position his own now. Poor turn out from us - we usually take at least a 1000 but the weather was grim and combination of poor recent form and the rugby being on the telly accounted for a lot of absentees. I enjoyed an after match pint with some work colleagues ( all Dee fans) at the Dundee club on the Hilltown and they were right down in the mouth and I was purring at the compliments about how we played.

In fairness to Lennon especially in the game at Perth Hibs maybe deserved more from both games. However until yesterday the game at ER had given me my best day out so far this season. I would still love to piss him off again though. COYS

  11. No pen in my opinion- ref got it surprisingly spot on. Tanser clearly gets the ball first, then momentum takes him through the coag. Great tackle.

Looks like Tanser gets a nick on the ball for a great tackle

    St Johnstone Womens FC

Not been on here as much to post so bit of detail on the side. Jeanfield Swifts Ladies have played their league matches at McDiarmid for two seasons now, and the name change to St Johnstone was merely a matter of time...if extended somewhat by waiting on Project Brave. However, going forward the club will be known as St Johnstone Women managed off/on the park by the same team as it has been with Jeanfield and, with a couple of new signings aside, the same team playing on it. The club have also secured SSE as club sponsors for the next two seasons, with Alan Storrar Cars and Positive Mortgages as back of shirt sponsors and TAN International sleeve sponsors. There will still be the player pathway from Jeanfield Girls - who have sides from Under9s upwards - to the side. Some of the players that have come through have represented Scotland at youth level.
