  1. Not going to say I enjoyed it at the time but will do when I watch it back. When you are a man up for so long and a goal down the pressure watching it is incredible so imagine how the players feel? That's why I was so happy how patient we were. Never once did we resort to punting it, even with 3 strikers on. Williams was a great substitution and looks a real talented player. Tanser despite being poor in the tackle a couple of times gave a great outlet down the left and was so unlucky with his free kick again. Kane again missed some of his easier chances but a hell of a goal we scored, great build up play and a top top finish. His overall games improved so much lately, bullying defenders and his holdup and link play is now coming on. Glad we're showing faith in him.

  2. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43438474 no mention of Mcginn. No mention of their fouling holding onto a point. Mentions Davidson should have got a second yellow and seen red... I don'trecall Davidson getting booked? Lennon is just making this up! Media pushes it. Refs believe it. Fans believe it. Glad our gaffer isn't like Lennon! Anyone watch the tv tonight. Any mention on how unlucky we were not to pick up 3 points?

  3. Bartley does a cheap shot forearm smash in front of the ref, no booking, then moans like hell at the lino for a corner no booking, Craig moans booking. Stokes drinking buddy Boyle pulls back a player near the end no booking If you looked at the stats for cards it always looks like we are dirty but when you are at the game you realise it's Saints don't get the same treatment and last night is the case Don't like the way Hibs surround and hound the ref every tackle, suppose take that from their manager. The BBC always do Saints a diservice and the more you peddle a myth more folk will believe it regarding the so called tackling, but fair play to Tommy he didn't miss media boys McCann and Thompson and their old pals act, he knows how to get them biting!

  4. It's as if some folk have never watched a game before. You can argue the tackle by Alston should be a red card offence but under the laws it clearly isn't. Every single team in the world will have committed the same foul at some point. Enjoyed the game and the performance from Saints. Another point towards safety and positives to take in the performances of the likes of Tanser, Kane and Williams.

  5. I know this has been mentioned in the match thread but I felt it merited a higher profile. Why no minutes silence out of respect to Alex Rennie and his family last night? I was really disappointed by this.

  6. Good result that saw the game changed by the deserved sending off of the keeper. It was a very robust performance from us and if I'm totally honest I can understand why Hibs fans would leave thinking we were pretty dirty at points. They certainly weren't shrinking violets either, but at times our tackling was fairly late and clumsy. The lads gave plenty effort and I'm glad Kane got a goal to match another very good performance. His two misses were really poor and I was a little worried his confidence would dip. Shame Millar had such an off night in the first half, but what was even more disappointing was the fact that Liam's passing seemed to go downhill when he switched centrally. For me it's essential we move Tanser forward into left midfield for next season. The guy is weak in the challenge, but the balls that the lad can put into the box are excellent. His constant quality balls into the box are a real threat for us. I'd like to see us give him some game time in a more forward position once we are safe from the drop and Easton is back. As for McGinn, let's give credit where credit is due. He was the most talented player on the park and is destined for bigger things than Hibs. He ran the show for them, won possession several times, drove the ball forward continually and picked some cracking passes. His tactical foul was much the same as Alston- both tactical cheating and not really a big deal.

  7. Having watched the game at McDairmid I came home to view the recorded BT match and can only agree with many on here that we get unfairly treated by both the officials and media. Although this has always been the case over many seasons, I've lost count the number of times a Saints player is booked for a foul, but a player from the opposition commits an equally or worse foul and doesn't get punished! Although this happens to every team at some point, we do seem to get more than our fair share. It's even more frustrating when the pundits on TV highlight, as in Alston's tackle on McGinn that this should be a red card, then completely ignore the equally bad tackle McGinn made on Wotherspoon! Saints received five bookings last night with Hibs receiving one, referee called most correctly, but Liam Craig was booked for dissent whilst many Hibs players were able to confront both the ref and his assistants without being punished or mentioned by pundits or media, Several other challenges went unpunished or were never mentioned including McGinn's challenge and a shoulder / elbow blow to Liam Craig which was similar to the challenge deemed red in the recent televised match. For the many people who say " it will even itself out over the season" I can tell you having watched Saints for many years, it hasn't evened itself out over my lifetime far less a season!

  8. The media in general brand as a physical side .. then you have idiots like Leveine mouthing off about us being dirty.. funny how half our team are injured due to other folks thuggery!? But that's ok it's only Saints? We had a great start to the season O'Halloran was on fire . .. he was assaulted by O'dea down at Dens, barely kicked a ball afterwards & we went on a wee downward spiral.. McMillan assaulted on his first game broken nose... ligament damage! Lost count of how many times Scougall was woofed up in the air with no protection from the ref.. you can be sure even if we are 'physical' we will be punished unlike other teams! COYS nobody likes us we don't care!

  9. Neil Lennon is getting boring. He must infuriate Hibs fans...moan, moan, moan and eh moan. Asking for Alston to be sent off and no mention of McGinn's absolutely shocking assault on Spoony.

  10. Aye. Ye canny beat Lindsay's butchers in Nth. Methven St. MIcrowave grill them and there's not a spot of fat comes out of them. Not like those Irish recipe Richmond ones. 'Mon the Saints. P.s. the pork ones are ace.

  11. Its been missing all season. Reputation being streetwise has been missing. Yet Alston commits a classic team foul and so does Mcginn. Thought the ref was card happy with us but should have had a couple more of Hibs booked towards the end. Hibs booted us everywhere last 10 mins.

  14. Can only hope that all that white coming out of the media will fire up the team. Week after week we seem to have commuted half the foul count but double the bookings. Have to admit all the bookings last night were deserved but would have been nice if opponents were booked for same offences. Guy took out Williams with a trip near the end but never got talked to never mind booked. In fact I don't think the ref was going to give foul.

  16. I'm in the ****themedia club too. It's so frustrating watching both the BT and the BBC coverage this morning at the complete lack of balance and impartiality shown. I hope Tommy addresses them and highlights the two incidents by the Hibs lads. I'd love to see a campaign by Saints fans to get the compliance officer to look at the elbow by Bartley and give him a ban. Lennon's reaction would be tremendous!

  17. Hibs Bartley’s elbow on Craig seems to have been glossed over by the press not a mention of it definitely worthy of review by compliance officer

  18. Good to hear Tanser got booked, the boy does have a bit of spirit in there.

  19. For the record the bookings were Ando, Alston, Craig, Tanser, and Joe. Sure there is a ruling that more than 3 bookings and the club are up in front of the beaks.

  20. Judging by the highlights we were pretty unlucky and perhaps a tiny bit naughty at times. Some skills involved in the goal. Don’t understand the criticism of Kane - surely better to have a striker scoring one out of three chances, than, as earlier in the season, none out of none?

  21. I think McGinns was worse as he went in studs up. Alston was a cynical trip McGinn wasn't in much danger of injury when falling on grass. Amazed nothing was made of the flying elbow from a Hibs player at the end of the first half.

  22. As an EX Hibs Manager and buddy of Lennon he's hardly likely to be impartial. The football media in Scotland is like the SFA/SPFL an old boys network.

  23. Stubbs spent the game waving to the Hibs fans, his opinion is irrelevant. Alstons tackle was identical to McGinns on Wotherspoon.

  24. even stubbs said on bt sport that Alston could have broke his leg and was lucky to get away with a yellow, It was a clip to stop the break away and 3 defenders behind the play clear yellow all day long.

  27. Its a shame we don't have "special teams" like NFL. Bringing him on for free kicks and corners (seriously, why is he not on corners?) would be perfect. Still a snivelling shitebag wen defending, looks far better in the opposition half. If he could harden up he'd be an asset.

  31. In fairness most of the managers in the league are very complimentary about what Tommy has achieved over the seasons with limited resources. Sometimes I feel he is appreciated more from other clubs and fans than he is by a number of our own supporters.

    Neil Lennon

People shouldn't forget how helpful Lennon was to saints in provision of training facilities before the cup final. I would also like to express my disgust at the repeal of anti sectarianism chanting by parliament which means my grandchildren will ask me interesting questions like what is a ****** ba***** or a f****** *** or alternatively I should just stop taking them to games

  33. That’s a shocker on Liam - bbc were quick enough to highlight Zander and McCann last Saturday which was nothing compared to that. compliance officer will do nothing as the biased broadcaster picks and chooses what they highlight We never seem to get the verdict from the compliance officer- the only one I can think of was Anderson v hearts
