  2. Sounds like an even better job for someone who has worked in PR or marketing rather than a learn as you go job for the boys - which i think is half our problem

  3. This is full time though which is a step us as Megan and ross were both just part time. Sounds like an ideal job for a former player who wants to do media work.

  4. Maybe the club just deleted all their data so they don't have to worry about GDPR.

  6. I’m sure there will be someone along to say that you don’t need to worry about selling season tickets yet, but my god, there really is poor organisation at the club. A new marketing bod is welcome, but what have they been doing for that last however many months? Also, on the ST’s is it that they just don’t want to sell them yet or is there some sort of hold up? I mean it’s not like they knew there’d be a close season coming up and they'd need to not only sell, but actively market the season tickets, strips, advertising etc. You see more commercial aptitude at non league clubs, a business with a what 5/6 million pound turnover should really be doing much much better. Don’t like slagging off Saints as there is many good quality folk working there, but we are miles behind other clubs our size and smaller. I say this all not because I have some sort of grudge, but because like the rest of us, I want the club to have as many fans as possible and to kick on. Unless you went past McD, someone in Perth would be hard pushed to tell that there is even a club here at all!

    Season Tickets 2018-2019

Bev was on twitter yesterday saying information would be released this week, so I'd imagine we'll get the prices etc this week and renewal forms sent out in the post to chase it later.

  11. From what i have been told by a PTFC Staff he was offered a deal with us and them and if they went down they couldn't offer him the same terms as he is currently on so our offer was better

  12. You have to bear in mind that there is a huge number of people that no longer even receive emails from the club despite being on their database, such is the substandard software they use. How many times have you heard someone complaining they used to get Tommy's weekly email however no longer do? I know I'm certainly in that boat! So even if the club were to be even remotely proactive and send the opt in email to adhere with GDPR, half the people on the database would never even see it.

    Season Tickets 2018-2019

Folk coming up with ideas but remember we are dealing with a club who a few seasons ago decided to send most renewal details out by email, then entitled said email "test 1" when it arrived in your inbox. I've posted before but I know ST holder who'd had one for at least a decade but couldn't renew a couple of years ago. There was no effort from the club to chase up a sale and then no attempt to contact them the next season. On a related point, with this new privacy stuff coming in (on Friday, I think) are the club going to be allowed to contact fans that haven't given consent if they don't before then? Think folk like @Kevin are up on this?

  16. Murray Davidson is our hard tackling centre mid, what we need is someone similar to Chris Millar's playing style. Someone with the ability to put their foot on the ball under pressure and find a pass to link up the play between defense and attack. With out this we constantly resort to lumping it forward from the back and hoping for the best, which never comes off for us.

Just sent them on to @sixties saintee In summary: - There will be a 1/4 page in the programme for a memorial to Surrey (was it?), Athens, Singapore, PanamaSaint - There will be a captains armband with "CAPTAIN MARNOCH" sponsored on it - There will be a matchball -signed by Miller - this will be raffled amoung those who have contributed. So if you contributed £22.50, that is one entry, if you contributed say £50 that is 2 entries, then above £100 are £20 an entry (e.g £200 = 20 entries). - There will be a free programme for every contributor who wants one (I will personally cover the cost of having these shipped to you) We need someone to write a memorial for John. We need more contributions to reach £500.00 Notes: The day is about Chris Millar but it's a loss to the forum when such an active member should leave us so soon. We can support Chris and celebrate raconteur Captain Marnoch. I hope everyone is okay with what's outlined above, and thank you to Ghostie for arranging, and managing logistics. If anyone has any comments, ideas or heckling.... mon then!!! I have received the following RMc £22.50 DW £200.00 MT £50.00 JT £22.50 JC £22.50 Couple have committed @Melbourne Saint @sixties saintee - preliminary total £362.50 - The aim is £500.00 - or 7 more exiles to reach the target. Would love to have you guys involved, it'd take us close to target....and you could win the matchball @sleepless @The Inspiration @HelsinkiSaintee @Havana Saint @essexsaint@byebyedundee ANY OTHER EXILES OUT THERE?

  18. I think it would be a bit rubbish for Campus to loose out in selling Saints kits after backing the club for so long. Would rather if there was a club store, then it was with a tie up with campus. Maybe a better idea would be to incorporate a sports bar (enhanced muirton) open during the week showing football games plus shop connected to it during the day or something like it. Could we get on line ticket sales as part of the tie up?

  19. My only memory now and why it's my name on here was New Years day 1970 in glorious sunshine at Muirton Park against the Arabs and my memory of the goal in our 1-0 win was a stramash in the box and big Buck stepping in and the ball Buck and about 3 Arab defenders ended up in the net. RIP Buck

  21. Hi everyone. Found out the news about my dad on Friday. It was very sudden but as none of his family were in Panama at the time details are few and far between at the minute. Expecting a call from the Embassy in the next couple of days and will know more then. He was a great Dad and loved nothing more than telling me on a Saturday morning who he’d been winding up on WAP over the last few days and who he was beating in the predictor! Being away from Perth for many years meant this place gave him an outlet for all things St Johnstone and enabled him to have debates and conversations, which many of us get in the pub on a Saturday afternoon, with all of you. Thanks to anyone who berated him, nibbled at his bait or rised to him any time he put up a nonsense post as he thrived on it and, while he often came across as abrasive on here, it was always in jest with a tongue firmly in cheek and his way of still being involved with saints from a far. My brother Saul and I (Joss) would like to pass on our thanks to everyone for their kind words and for humouring him over the past few years
