  1. Watched Kelty Hearts getting skelped 3 - 0 by Auchinleck Talbot. Decent enough game but some woeful defending by Kelty. Serves them right for leaving Tam Scobbie on the bench. Mind you someone should tell Barry Ferguson that there is more to being a football manager than turning up well groomed and then standing on the touchline with your arms crossed trying to look impassive while your team run around like headless chickens.

  3. 2-1 home win. The manky mob already have their excuse ready for playing in Europa on Thursday, their gaffer already aired that poor team has to play on Sunday lunchtime... We better be on it from the 1st second. Great opportunity to get the first win in league this season

  4. He will show due respect but I'd be really surprised if Gerrard doesn't start a striker.

  5. Tommy should stick the comments Gerrard made last season on the changing room wall... 'We shouldn't have to work hard to win at places like this'

  6. Some nice words from Tony Watt about Saints: https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/4739728/tony-watt-bulgaria-cska-sofia-celtic-st-johnstone/ “I know I’d lost my way before I went to St Johnstone but that was a good move for me. It got me playing again, back into a dressing-room and part of things. “I know people look at it and saw I didn’t play the last two months but that was just down to the contract. “I was one of the first players they spoke to about staying on but we just couldn’t agree and that was fine. “I was left out of the squad because I wasn’t staying. “I totally understood that because the manager had to look to the future and if you’re leaving then he’s got to build for the following season. “I felt I had done well, we were challenging for the top six and I played nearly 40 games. “That got me fitter and sharper than I had been. “We shook hands and I left there at the end of the season. Sometimes you just don’t reach an agreement. “That six months where I was playing every week did resurrect me, it gave me my career back. I’ll always be grateful for that. “I got my confidence back and it helped me get this move.”

  7. Not sure what sort of line up tommy will go with. Has plenty of options with Kennedy, Weatherspoon and Wright and Craig all ready and willing to play in Holt's place. And Tommy has a wee record of pulling off a surprise in these games like playing Wright up front last year and nearly getting a result. After watching the Rangers feyenord game last night i worry that they cant miss as many chances as they were given again but at the same time the defence looks vulnerable, especially down the flanks as Tavernier cant defend. Suspect them to have a good few changes from last nights team for the weekend. 2-2 draw
