  1. The chairman's been pretty generous with his cash....Tommy should be looking in the mirror and thinking about how much of our cash he's wasted before he gives it all this chat.

  2. Excuse my cynicism but why is it that every other fan can happily go to matches without any fuss or drama but these guys apparently can't? Exactly what are the unfair atrocities happening to them that for some reason don't seem to happen to anyone else?

  3. Let's say the board come to Tommy and say 'look, money is really tight, we know it's bad, but we can't sign anyone until more players leave'. He should be going to the press saying, 'I'm really confident that my squad has what it takes to finish the season in a strong position. If we are able to sign anyone, that would be a bonus, but we already have some excellent players and I have every confidence in their ability to make sure the club finishes in a strong position'. Sometimes you have to put a brave face on a shitty situation for the sake of the reputation of the club, player morale and so on.

  5. There seems to be very little coordination between Tommy and Steve. Biggest problem for me is Brown's communication skills with the fans, one by one he is pissing people off and slowly killing attendances. Brown's treatment of the core support is beyond comprehension, bring back Geoff, could only be better.

  6. I'm pretty sure you are right, definitely aimed at her. Tommy speaks as a football man and knows what he wants, but the club is being run by business people who don't give a sht about what happens on the pitch, what entertains the fans, no wonder he's peed off.

  7. This could go any which way still of course, but this must be the closest Tommy has been to resigning AND being fired since he came. Not good.

  8. I dont think her role has ever officially been made clear, but my understanding of the one article its discussed in makes it clear shes taken over the majority of Steve Browns jobs. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/st-johnstones-head-football-kirsten-21229989.amp Eerily similar to Steve Browns "bulletproof" interview.

  9. Steve Brown handed control over to Kirsten Robertson earlier this season, I'm sure. It's her this is directed at. She was hounded out of Kilmarnock for over reaching into too many departments and over ruling experienced members of staff despite not having any knowledge of the department. Sound familiar?

  10. I hope Swanson is given a chance. I think he’s fallen out with Tommy though. A good run of games and I think he could be our best performer.

  12. Summer transfer pt 2. I'd like TW to elaborate once the window closes as to why "we're missing out on loads of players". Doesn't have to be finger pointing at SB, but I think the fans are owed an explanation. I have come to dread transfer windows. It all seems last minute. Fair enough there may be external factors- club/ player valuations, Vine's of this world etc... but it just rankles me that there seems zero co-ordination between manager and SB. Questions must be asked as to Kirsten Man's appointment. seems she's just a block (mini SB) to stop TW hassling SB every 20 minutes. Fair enough, we knew Kennedy was off, but how about sorting out some signings to offset it? Nope. Instead we're panicing with a week to go. Signings should've been sorted early. Other clubs do it. We're like a pished guy at a nightclub at closing time, will take anything come last orders.

  13. Offer them Kane, Ando, Swanson, Callaghan,McMillan and a chorizo pie and we might just be in with a shout!

  15. I think you are always between a rock & a hard place when pre contracts are concerned... it was obvious Kennedy just wanted to get to Aberdeen so you have a player already disconnected probably not wanting to risk injury .. at least Saints weren’t total mugs and got some dosh for him... not everyone is like Liam Craig.. imo he had his best season for us before he left for Hibs. The person I’m most annoyed with is McInnes, ‘too much respect for Saints’ my backside, he got exactly what he wanted and showed no respect... obviously no honour between managers never mind clubs!

  16. It's a good point but maybe there is somone in the background who is procrastinating and needing a prod. I'm not buying it that TW sanctioned Kennedy leaving without someone in mind.

  17. I hope you are right but to get a quality signing in by next Wednesday Tommy would surely have to have someone at least on the hook by now and he says he has nobody. Incidentally, he said we had 17 fit outfield players, so we are holed below the waterline but the pumps are still working.

  18. Sometimes it feels like either Tommy only finds out things like Kennedy leaving at the same time we do, or he's on a mission to annoy fans with bad news when it's not actually warranted. Otherwise, why come out with such a strange statement just before the news hits that Kennedy has left.

  19. "I have hunch that We'll get news today that Kennedy is away; I just can't see Aberdeen letting this rest when they know they are very close. The Sheep are restless up there. If Matty was 100% staying he would have played some part on Wednesday." And by the way I've been right so far.

  20. I agree here. Let's not read too much into this either - "If people don't like me saying it, that is tough, but that is where we are. " He might be directing this at fans being impatient. I think we will have a quality signing in and playing against Celtic on Wednesday.

  21. It's more than pathetic. It shows a lack of communication and trust within the club. Either the transfer policy is agreed or not. Tommy shouldn't be going to the press to show up the board, and complain about a lack of signings. But the board shouldn't put him in that position. We had this in the summer too. It has led to a soap opera, distracting the players from what should be happening on the pitch.

Nope. The cheapest season tickets at Dortmund are €219. You can see Bayern Munich for less than £10 a game. The average season ticket in the Bundesliga is €186, about €10 a game.

  24. The positive thing about this place is you are very close to the action and can see very clearly who is playing well and who is hiding. Like Random I thought there was little between the teams and on another night we could have won this - this Livi team are brutally physical and have some tidy players playing to their strengths - what Hibs were smoking when they realeased Marvin Bartley is anyone's guess - he was excellent. Here's my thoughts; 1. Zander is seriously back to his best - even looked good coming out for difficult crosses. 2. Defense looked pretty solid with Liam Gordon again a standout - everyone needs to understand how important he is - constantlly talking and geeing up or berating his players - Captain material. Ralston was a bit in and out but put in some nice crosses - still a bit fragile for my liking. 3. Midfield was a battle and Ally and Liam Craig were kind of lost in the fog of battle - Dre Wright looks still a bit short of thrust to where he was last year but he's got lots to offer this team. Starting to see the best of MOH now, on another surface he would have had a great game - he has to be given a run in the team. 4. Steve May was fine and as usual drove himself in to the ground with his running the channels- he still has all the touches and we'll get goals from him I'm sure - playing this Livi team would make most strikers take up bowls - they play that tight. 5. Losing the goal just after half time was a killer - we maybe left it a touch too late bringing on the subs but Kane and Hendry looked really purposeful and caused the Livi defense a real challenge - hindsight etc. but I wonder if we strated with them if it would have been a different outcome. 6. Summing up I've felt a whole lot worse leaving a game after a defeat - there are positive things from this team but we must beat Killie on Saturday.

  25. Performance wasnt that bad, I thought. When you remember only Rangers and Aberdeen have scored and taken points at that ground, and theyve now played every club at home, then it hopefully puts some perspective to things. Livingston took the best chance of the match, while we got denied a stonewall penalty and MOH missed what was virtually an open goal. A different day we draw that, or win it, and everyone in here is raving about how great a result it is. May was fine as a lone striker, he set up a MOH chance and generally held the ball up well. Issue was the midfield, only O'Halloran seemed to get near him when he did have the ball, but again, we did have chances in this set up so if we win theres almost no complaints. Even game, settled by them taking their chance while we missed ours. Just one of those games.

  26. Just seen the highlights on u-tube and at the start of the clip, Saints were denied a stonewall penalty in the 1st half.

  27. Decided to sleep on it before commenting. Why the feck does Tommy not realise he is costing us time and again by playing a sole striker. Fair enough if May could win a ball in the air, but it is just cannon fodder for each teams defenders. When he eventually decided to make changes it took about 10 mins of indecision before he decided to leave Kennedy on the bench and made sure his subs had all cooled down. As for the ref, must be the most inept display yet this season with at least 7 or 8 blatant handballs being ignored, including Dykes hugging the ball while lying on the ground. MOH got wiped out in the penalty box and he never even checked on him at any point, yet Livi players kept tripping over their own feet and play was immediately stopped for them.

  28. Some of the FCU were advised to stay away by the police, they had been a bit naughty and were known to the police, on the other hand they were also getting unjustly harassed at some away games, I've seen 15 police containing 8 FCU members. Nanny state in full effect.

  29. It's not just the FCU that worries me, I am concerned that there's a lack of fans of a similar age to the FCU guys at MCD. I'm sure the power of communication on social media will have something to do with this. Saints need to come up with initiatives to attract fans of all age groups.

  30. I was a Rangers fan as a kid. All my family were CB’s. Do you know what made me switch allegiances? Actually going to games regularly aged 7-8 with my Grandad. There’s no reason that most of these boys couldn’t have switched allegiances if they hadn’t been hounded out of the club.
