What are we supposed to do on a fans forum? We don't have any matches to discuss and the transfer window is open. Mainstand's daft post aside - all the names/speculation recently have either come from the press or from the manager himself.
I agree on the last point though. I've got visions of Tommy saying that we've exhausted all of our options and there will be no more signings coming in during this window. Lets hope we're both wrong, but the silence after the wee burst of news last week doesn't suggest things are coming off the way the manager hoped.

Saints will not sign anyone...to be honest we will be paying 3 injury prone guys not knowing if or when they,l be fit to play more than a couple of games. What they could do is promote from within . Young,hungry ,fit players is the way ahead........im so fed up watching macca never shoot or win a header and watch Midge sitting on the bench or Hendry in the stand. Id say saints would be a dam good team if we get the balance right. A good mix of youngsters and old heads is the way to go ......but thats down to the manager. Also with fixture conjestion this is the perfect time blood a couple of youngsters. COYS.

I've said it before, but given the unpredictability of the Scottish weather, if we are to have a winter break then have it in the 2 weeks before Christmas when the fans could do with saving a few quid.  Start back on Boxing Day when you will have bumper crowds with fans desperate to get back to watching the fitbaw.

Disappointed it's off. Hope it gets the go ahead on Tuesday. 
Not for summer football. But don't see the point in our winter break when our weather is so unpredictable. We've just had three weeks of reasonable weather where we could have been playing, first week back and it's off due to snow.
Hopefully we don't  start to see a bit of a build up of fixtures, as we were meant to be playing killie this midweek.

I see what you're all saying, but all the time we have employed Danny Swanson he has given 100% and delivered on the park, even when he knew he would be leaving.  We've lacked goals and creativity, and at times entertainment this season so far, and he brings all of those.
I'd prefer he didn't keep going elsewhere, but that's just modern football unfortunately. Players will move around to make as much money for their agents as possible. He's no different from most others in that respect.
And the prospect of seeing him and Scougall in the same team is quite appealing to be honest.

I'd take anything that was said around that time with a pinch of salt. Danny wanted to go to his boyhood team and be close to his family and friends. Can't blame the laddie for trying it out, it may still work out for him too.

I always thought the loan limit was 21 - Imagine the plethora of players ages 21-23 in the EPL and Championship who are not playing, why are we not looking at that level of player on loan?

I'm maybe harsh but I do expect TW to be working on targets during his holiday, if he's simply turned his phone off for a week after giving Broon a list of targets, I'll have little to no sympathy when he inevitably blames everyone but himself for missing out on targets. He'd need to be there to help sell the club. 
Regardless of your thoughts on that, we should've had players identified and enquired about long before January began, you can agree deals in November if you so desire.
