Cagey got a reaction from Setting Son in Arabs vs Raith with Spoony
Scott Brown should have been on from the start instead of Byrne who is poor.
Mclelland also on bench .
Remember when teams were full of ex OF players.

Sam looks a decent signing as well . Hopefully gets game time at United . I find it bizarre you bring in Kerr Smith and put Sam McClelland out on loan

Does the extention not take him up to 10 years . If he goes it will be on loan I would have thought.
May not even on bench on Sunday so I hope he gets a big to end of season and then a decent move.

Cagey reacted to Setting Son in Levein's Report Card
Considine said as much in the post match press conference against Hearts that the manager wants them to play a specific way and they’re trying to do it

Good luck and hope he does well. Thought he got mucked about being asked to play LWB when he is not even a RWB. Tbought he did a job for us in back thre e when required but this season his confidence is shot.

Will we ever start pushing forward before going a goal.down .

Meh....both teams were pretty poor. Shankland the difference in that he takes that one chance....presented by our experienced central defence.
There is something to work with in Benji and Adama showed some nice flick ons although there was never anyone to benefit.
Felt quite sorry for Fran and Olufunwa early on as both looked well out of their depth and their inexperienced showed. They did steady up but no surprise to see Sven come on.
Didn't think Smith & Max contributed much...our passing still seems very 'safe' and no one looks to make a forward pass....partly because quite a few of them never show as an option to the guy on the ball.

Why do we leave it so late to chase the game, where was this in the first half?

How much respect do we want to give this lot? 10 minutes in and we are as deep as the ocean.

5 strikers on the bench and only 8 subs.
Lightweight midfield and Spangler on the bench !.

The gap between the OF and the rest of the teams in league is the biggest it’s been in ages I believe.
If we are going to play a defensive safety approach first, I would of thought Sprangler with his grunt in the middle would be perfect for our style of footy.
Does the coaching team pick our best XI each week it is it horses for courses?
Sprangler has done a job for us everytime he plays and I believe he and Phillips give our team a bit of steel in the middle.
I wonder if Kirk doesn’t rate his efforts on the training paddock which is the reason he isn’t getting a game?

Thought Gallagher took the ball down well and shot wasn't too far away. At least he got in the box and the more he plays wingback he will improve.
Looks like playing on the break with speedy strikers is the tactic.
What about Benji in the middle with Sid and DJ wide.

Massive 6 pointer with backs to the wall stuff.
First away win , first away goal scored by us so hopefully he pressure is off a wee bit and go for 3 points on Wednesday and you never know that could get us top 6. Crazy league.
Was Keltjens injured at half time or did Levein just ant a more defensive player to try to hold the lead.

Agree, they had a lot of chances, we can't kid ourselves here. Any other day we lose that game/certainly don't win. I hope Levein isn't in some fantasty that this was some rock solid performance.
I think many of our players will gain confidence from this though and will kick on and up!

Interview after the match said Keltjens had a muscle strain. Took him off rather than risk a longer injury by playing him through it.

Assume Crawford and others not wanted by Levein can still be loaned out to lower league clubs after today.
Doesn't look like much movement in departure lounge.

I'm not trying to argue that Kane is a prolific goalscorer. Everyone knows he's not. But he's carved out a role for himself at Saints that has proven useful and effective over the years, in lieu of anyone else coming in and doing his job any better. So yes, until someone else emerges who is contributing more, then I'd continue to have him involved in the squad.
My point was that DJ and Kimpioka haven't demonstrated themselves to be any more effective than Kane, and they haven't.
