  1. I'll be gutted if he signs for Rangers. Don't see how it'll help his development as a player. Like Sandaza, Black, etc cash will be the main attraction. Not long ago he said he wanted to follow ex-Livi players like Dorrans & play in England. Most of the Gers fans I know in Perth have 'lost' their interest in football this season. Like 90% of Old Firm fans they're glory hunters. Also with the Gers losing £1m a month this season it was said they'd no longer be paying out the sort of cash Sandaza was promised & wages would be based much more on results (inc. cup competitions) so his wages will much better than Saints but probably lower than a good few Championship clubs. Maybe even a few £s lighter if Fran wins his unfair dismissal claim Rangers are a bit of a shambles at the moment anyway especially if Whyte's claims against Green are proven, could dump them back in the sh*t.
  2. I was talking about guys I know who live in Perth, aren't hard up & went to the Uniited game. They went to the Eskisehirspor game but hardly went near McD again. I asked them if they'd be attending the Motherwell game - answer 'no, we won't get into Europe anyway'. I said fine but stop bending my ear about what great fans you are. After the game they were gutted they'd missed it & said they wished they'd gone.
  3. Brittain was happy to sign the pre-contract so either he comes to us or Ross County buy him back.
  4. Many can't afford it but some use the affordability argument as an excuse cos they want to spend their money on other things. I know guys who say this but are at the front of the queue when the latest gadgets come out. That's fine but just be honest about it.
  5. About 1500 Saints fans went to Tannadice & backed the team which was great. However I know a few of them & they've hardly been at McD since the game against Eskisehirspor. They also spent more than a few £s in the Dundee pubs afterwards. If you have to choose your games I'd prefer it if you spent your money at McD than put it in the coffers of other clubs. Some weren't at the game on Sunday cos they didn't think Saints would win.
  6. Great news. Those that didn't rate him have gone quiet.
  7. The guy's obviously an idiot. I hope SB asks them for a fat transfer fee otherwise he'll insist on RB honouring the contract. I see Motherwell are signing County's Paul Lawson & it also looks like Vigurs will be going elsewhere also.
  8. Was in McDonalds (Broxden) on Thurs & in walks Adams. He ate his grub in his car......probably scared he bumped into some Saints fans
  9. Stewart looked offside & had a free shot. Can't blame Mannus for 1st goal when no-one picked up Baird. The previous week against Celtic they would have had the game won by half time if it hadn't been for Mannus. Agree with you about the 1 man up front though. It almost cost us the game against Celtic & too often leaves us on the back foot. Craig on the right doesn't work either.
  10. He's in discussions with Hibs about a new contract.
  11. So he was right about the City Mills manager becoming GM at McD. My friend isn't a Saints fan so if the 2 Irish guys were trying to wind him up they were wasting their time.
  12. A friend was in the City Mills on Tues night & he was talking to 2 Irish lads who said they were over for a trial with Saints. They weren't from the top tier but the 2nd division & were a centre-half & a left winger. He was also told by a member of staff that the hotel manager, a Greek guy, is a pal of Steve Brown & has handed in his resignation as he's replacing Paul Smith at McD Park. Don't know how true this is but time will tell.
  13. Reported yesterday that Rangers interest in Muzz was 'dead'.....hope it's true. Also Petrie was saying a couple of weeks ago that if Hibs don't increase their home gates to 10 000 there would be big cutbacks next season so it'll be interesting to see what sort of wages they offer Craig. Probably still be more than we can offer though.
  14. You gain a pen if you're fouled in the box not if you're touched. It's a physical contact sport & when players go down, like Cregg did on Sat, when they've barely been touched then it's cheating. It also makes it harder for refs to make the right decision. I remember McCoist when he was a tv pundit saying he would go down if he was touched in the box. No wonder kids get the wrong idea.
  15. We made another loss last season but am I right in thinking we have a sum set aside which we can dip into when necessary? However considering the size of crowds we're getting (3100 yesterday) despite our current run of good form it makes me wonder how long we can keep signing the quality of player we currently have.
  16. Could almost choose the MoM by throwing a dart at the team list as there were so many good performances but Tade just shaded it for me. Hasselbaink, Midge, Craig & Muzz were also great though.
  17. Story was also in today's Courier.
  18. Well Killie aren't exactly flush & they managed to get him on a 2 yr deal.
  19. Erratic......much like Tade & Hasselbaink then.
  20. Noticed that Killie have signed Cillian Sheridan on a 2 yr deal. Did we offer him anything at end of last season?
