Heard Simon Donnelly last week on Sportscene giving it the..."Who'd be a manager, he won them two cups!" nonsense.
Tommy, and even to a certain extent McInnes had built the team that won the cups. Then Calum came along, with all the pieces already in place and by his admission, everything worked. So the plaudits for those wins go mostly to Tommy.
Ever since then it's been a constant regression. How many more times are we to sit here feeling like this.
I can't think of any other manager of any other team who has been given this amount of time.
If Steve's not interested anymore then surely Geoff doesn't want his legacy to be treated like this. If this was twenty years ago, he'd have been long gone. Another "club legend" John Connolly didn't even last a season.

I’ve come to the conclusion that Davidson is not a bad manager, he’s just not a manager at all.
He’s like Tony Adams or Paul Scholes - just has no clue what to do. He picks a team based on who nods along with what he says, kicks out anyone who might question him. If we lose, he doesn’t change tactics but just swaps everyone around again because it must be the players’ fault not his. He buys players based on who has played well against us last & hugely overpays for them. Clubs see an idiot coming and put their prices up. He has no interest in the future of the club. He thinks he’s some sort of football genius, but that it’s the players who are letting him down. He’s unable to learn from mistakes or deal with anyone disagreeing with him.

The closer it gets to the game, the more angry I become about the way the club are treating us (the supporters). If they had contacted season ticket holders and others weeks ago and said that due to an increase in Policing costs etc they were considering moving us from the East Stand, but then went on to say that they would not do that if the home supporters turned out in numbers, then I think most people would have got behind the club. We could have marketed it as a big occasion under the lights at McDiarmid. They could be using social media to build up the game by using brilliant memories of Scottish Cup runs from before like the Stevie May game against Aberdeen at Ibrox and the Spoony chop against Hibs in the 20/21 final, yet here we are, a few days before the game and despite less than 300 tickets being sold to home supporters, we have still heard nothing from the club.
One of the main reasons that I have always felt proud to support Saints is the family connection that the club has had and the feeling that as a supporter we are not just a number. The past few weeks have soured that completely. To not even acknowledge that they have made a mistake or try to make amends is unbelievable. That the club feel they are doing nothing wrong by handing over our traditional stand to them and effectively making a one off cup tie a home game for them is disgusting. 
 
I am delighted that the majority of our support seem to have recognised the fact that the club are treating us with such contempt and will not attend on Saturday.

That would require either of them to have some bottle and take responsibility. So never going to happen.
