Didnt make my thoughts clear, and going to fall into the trap of what I'm about to say....... Its where you read a thread about something, then before you know it, your reading about stuff way off the point, most common being the aforementioned. Count to 10 everyone.......... Calm down Ghosty. Firstly, I took the quote posted by monkey at face value, I should have hunted down your quote. So reading in full, it was unfair to be 'quote picked'. By him though, wasnt by me. Secondly, when I posted this thread, there was no mention of names, just a general rant at a group. Thirdly, I ended by saying we are all one team, off and on the pitch. I dont like people using posts to single out individuals, so I shouldnt have responded to post. Last, but not least, if you want to talk to your mates about 'glory hunters, crowd predictions, what songs will we sing, who should play etc.. then get yourselfs a private chatroom for your inane drivel. This particular section of our support seem to think they are the lifeblood of StJohnstone, you know what guys... your not. Maybe its my age, maybe its the day after blues and maybe its my thumping headache, but what is this condition everybody has about predicting how big a support is going to be for a game? Which very irritatingly is usually followed by the blackening of those who aren't there!! Its one thing being free, young and single, to have the opportunity to follow your team week after week. To have no ties or responsibilities to curtail your desire to go to the footie every week. But trust me on this, when working away, staying away, marriage, kids, money issues and bills, changing life priorities and a dozen other reasons work there way into your life, then choosing which game you can actually attend against those you may want to attend will be based on importance for the football club you love and where you want to go and add your voice to vocally support them over the winning line. To be labelled 'part-time supporters' or even worse, ' glory hunters' by people who have never met you, know you or have even the faintest idea of what you have put into the football club over the years, and in alot of cases, in years,when those demeaning people on sites, were even born. Try going to Berwick on a Wed nite in Dec, to follow the worst team in Scotland ( league place wise ), blowing a gale, wet and geting humped. Some of the people being labelled as 'glory hunters' have invested far more time and effort into following Saints than some of the loudmouths ever will. Hats of to the few who are in a postion to go to most games, take the wife and kids. But instead of having a go at those of us who HAVE to pick and choose, heres a novel idea..........be bloody thankful we do still come along when we do, that we do still have the love of St.J and desire to see the team do well. Rant over........ Take the crowd for what it is on the day. And do us a favour and lay off having a pop at lifetime and loyal supporters. We are one team, both on the pitch and off it.

Due less to our defeat on Sunday, but more to our inability to win rather than draw, its going to sqeaky bum time at Airdrie. I'll be at Dens like everybody else hoping against hope that not only do we win, but Partick get beat. However, putting my sensible hat on, its all pointing to last game winner takes all. Partick have 2 home games in a row, Livingston then Airdrie, both very winable. We have Dee away (where our record's not clever) then tough home game Morton. Put that against our recent performances, then 2 draws in those games are likely. I'm not into all this ' if we play like the last 20 mins from this game or first half that game'. We HAVE NOT shown the form of a championship winning team. I put a post on last week saying we were getting ahead of ourselves, that QOS were a banana skin waiting to mug us. This isnt or wasnt a pessimist or negative attitude, but a sensible one. I'm a diehard of 40yrs, been through good and bad and nothing will top us doing it this Sat, its what dreams are made of. We could well be going into the last game of the season either all square on points, or god forbid, behind. Yes lets live the dream, give it our all on Sat and party if we do it. I'm only saying, that in my opinion, its going all the way. Can your nerves take it????

The one scenario that would invite trouble... I work in Dundee, so geting tickets for home end not a problem. Along with hundreds in Dundee end, you will have fans outside during game, yup, bright people these Scumdee twats. With geneal sale after season ticket holders ( who are getting 2 tickets each ) being on Thurs, not going to be many left to buy. What is failing to get through the skulls of those making the decisions is that this game is bigger for us than a Cup Final. When you see teams taking thousands to finals like Hibs 40,000 Dundee 17,000 Hearts 30,000 etc etc it is plainly obvious our support will swell for a game which has been the Holy Grail for decades. Forget all the nonsense about average home crowds, the support we had last time we visited, what we took to Hamilton, this was always going to be the game that brought fairweather supporters, older supporters, new supporters, friends of supporters, far flung supporters out en masse to see something that has never happened before and unlikely to happen again our lifetime. Cup Final, great, qualifying for Europe, great, winning promotion any other ground in Scotland, great, but Dens for title? Absolutely priceless...... :laugh::laugh:
