  1. Very nicely designed. Good luck with it.
  2. I noticed when I stopped for petrol this morning that the front page of the Sun has a story about Eddie Malone being filmed with Clyde fans chanting racist abuse at Bobo Balde. I didn't buy the rag, in fact I wouldn't wipe my arse with it as the ink does rather come off on ones buttocks, so did anyone read the whole thing?
  3. Fair enough Dale. Can I suggest that you pick up on those particular posts with a polite request for some reasoning as they arise. FWIW my main gripes about SA are his positioning, his appaling distribution (he makes Darren Dods look like a good passer of the ball) and when he does lose out usually because of his poor positioning he tries to make up for it by giving away needless fouls. I just can't see how he is an asset in any way.
  4. I agree with some of what Dale says above but if we can't discuss players on the forum where can we? I have consistently stated that I don't believe Steven Anderson is a player. I have made similar statements about Ryan Stevenson. I have always tried to back these up with reasoning. I don't expect everyone to agree with me and I have previously acknowledged that Ryan in particular has improved this season. We are football fans for goodness sake, this is what we do. I am violently opposed to those who give players stick at McD and those who boo but surely we have the right to question a players ability to do a job for the team we support on a discussion forum.
  5. to be fair to dan the saint, chopper did say "Away and **** you" which was somewhat uncalled for.
  6. Totally agree with what Saintkev says about pricing. Football has to realise what it is in competition with nowadays.
  7. You are right. I must admit I don't much enjoy going to games at McD anymore. I much prefer going to away games for the "atmosphere" (relatively speaking of course). I actually really enjoyed the Brechin game because you can STAND and do so right next to the pitch, even though it pissed with rain much of the time.
  8. I would rather have a team of part-timers who want to play football than a bunch of overpaid full time diddys. I can't believe we would be doing any worse at the moment with a pt team. Ronaldo makes a good argument for not going part time, but on balance I think Division 1 has far too many full time clubs (not to mention those in Div 2 (Partick and Gretna) which is just ridiculous).
  9. I think part of the problem is McDiarmid Park. Now I love the place dearly and think we are very lucky to have it, but there are too many people who sit on cushions and bring travel rugs into the East Stand. In a traditional football ground those fans would be housed in the main stand, allowing us scum (usually assisted by booze) to really get behind the team. This may be very unpc but I wish the moaners, who lets be fair tend to be a bit long in the tooth, would sod off to the main stand where they can have more legroom and where we can't hear them. It's a sad day when the moaners are louder than the singers.
  10. Complete nonsense. Willie Newbigging was one of the finest and most naturally gifted players to don the royal blue!! Almost as good as Ryan Stevenson!
  11. I'd forgotten about John Irvine. Oh dear!
  12. Oh come now Cheesy, Martin Buglione and Peter Fhyr were not up to much but they didn't play very often and were packed off pretty quickly. Michael O'Neil was not a bad player although he was well past it when he came to us. Simon Donnelly was a disappointment but not a bad player. Iain Lee was a reasonable enough player in the depths of the second division at the time (85/86ish??) This is all about opinions and I think it's unreasonable of you to say that my comments are complete nonsense. It pains me to say it but in my opinion Steven Anderson is not a player. I've said it before many times and I've seen nothing to convince me otherwise. Anderson is gash by any standards, yet continues to get a game. Maybe I am being a little unkind to John Davies, I'll grant you that.
  13. Can you elaborate on this. I find it hard to believe a player would be fined for an inept performance. A lack of discipline or something behind the scenes we don't know about, but a poor display?
  14. I would have to agree that Anderson is one of the worst players I have ever seen play for Saints. Owen's brother Tommy was pretty gash too as was John Davies and going back slightly further I could not believe how awful Gavin Redford was. Yup, Anderson might just have picked up the award.
  15. I'm very depressed to learn of this. God Bless you Drew. You'll never be forgotten.
  16. It's certainly fine to use Scottish, but Scots is the correct formal term for the people. Scottish pertains to the land and the people. Our monarch is referred to as King or Queen of "Scots", we have "Scots" Law. So I don't agree that "lebs" equates to "Scots". I haven't said that "lebs" is racist, but I suspect it might be.
  17. Don't think so, Scots is the proper and usual way to describe people from Scotland. Usually people from Lebanon are described as "Lebanese".
  18. Isn't the term "leb" racist? I dunno, just asking.
  19. Maybe we should just agree to disagree. I feel I'm not going to win this one. Possibly I'm just riled by the fact that Weir is doing anything to help those tinky scumbags and I should have just been up front about it instead of coming up with some cock and bull about disrespecting opponents. Maybe my medication has stopped working. Hey, I've just won employee of the month, I earn minimum wage, I wish I was dead, have a nice day.
  20. You've missed my point bh. I'm saying it's disrespectful to say you've done this publicly. Ian Campbell may well have been on the phone to someone seeking info on Saints, (in fact probably Kernaghan!) but you don't hear him spouting it to the papers. I'm not sure that AK and JW are good mates by the way.
