    Have a look at my post on paretal reponsibilities hopefully it will help your mate, if he is goin down the court route tell him to keep talking to his missus, mediation is the answer, as court is the last option he wants, and will cost him plenty, is he in a union, if so his union will put him in touch with solicitors and will get reduced rates, but as i said that should be his last option, keep it friendly with his missus, if he loses it with her she will take it to court, and they always take the womens side, hope this helps
