  1. Is there any news yet on contract length yet? Can't complain much with one year but don't really want a repeat of Lappin, GMac, Sutton all given too long deals. Of course there is the opposite argument if he proves to be amazing but just now I think the burden of proof lies the other way.
  2. Calling someone a prat isn't libel when it is fair comment. Accurately describing what someone did on twitter isn't libel. And mod Kyle even diverted away from personality issue, so you're barking up the wrong tree. Paton is unquestionably someone I wouldn't be mates with as far as twitter is indicative, and I don't see what he brings to Saints, but once signing is confirmed he'll get the same chance to prove himself in the shirt as anyone else.
  3. Owen coyle to Blackburn. He's won the bloody lottery with that, did not think he'd get near the championship
  4. I'm pretty sure it was your good self that provided the photo last time I mentioned it, thanks again. The strip, as it exists with that photo filter, is a work of art.
  5. Cup winning home kit was one of the all-time greats. Would love to see it in the darker shade it appeared to be in Millar's reveal tweet from that time that I've referred to before. Last seasons white away kit also very good. Last two home kits poor.
  6. Little interest from me in a wee sclaff like Pawlett, even if he has had the cheek to play pretty well against it.
  7. I'm a bit mixed about that charge. Nothing against trying to modernise and get that out the game but any punishment categorically needs to be suspended until they do it again. Can't let them do it for years and suddenly say it's not OK, club like Ayr can't be doing with unnecessary fines. Warning to make this the last year would suffice (then Ayr can just use viral marketers to do it unofficially anyway)
  8. On that topic I think Saints should go down the retro route and re-release and reuse one of the all time great kits - 13/14 for example
  9. For once I agree with Andy Rhodes' timepiece, but only to an extent. If signing confirmed then my griping will be put on hold Until then we are able to discuss possible signing to our hearts content
  10. Apart from some red cards all paton brings us that Brown didn't is that he old enough that there isn't guilt in letting him sit on bench. Not that Tommy seemed to have much of that with brown either sadly.
  11. I've always had a massive dislike for Law as a player in the sense of his general style and conduct. Could make the argument Saints need a total d*** in the middle of the park but I'd rather not bother.
  12. I'm just surprised a faux-philosophical gent like he isn't morally tortured by the thought of representing a bastion of institutional sectarianism that features prominently in any discussion on Scotland's social ills over the last century. I'm aware its easy to say when I don't actually have the offer and money on the table, but I don't think I could sleep at night knowing my wage was being paid by that despicable organisation, and if the money ever made me forget a quick look at the human trash making up a noticeable % of the stands (arguably short of 100), would swiftly remind me.
  13. Sorry this is a few years off topic but didn't really need a new thread. Saints just tweeted about pre orders of a retro 81/82 home kit. Anyone know if and where we can still buy it
  14. Watching him be one of the best players in the park v Liverpool a few years ago was an absolute treat (as someone with sympathies for hearts), but something has clearly gone very wrong there. I know there are rumours about his off field habits but even that aside he hasn't played much has he? Would need either a legnthy summer trial or a pay as you play contract but agree signing the old Templeton would almost be a no brainer
  15. Johnston Slater O'Hara and Higginbotham amongst those either freed by Killie or free to leave. None would be close to a start but if TW is looking to increase squad size I think these could do a job, especially given the age of the first three
  16. I'm reluctant to go boots in to the where is the evidence line of argumentation as some rangers fans are claiming that some footage has been held back due to police involvement - which is fairly plausible. I have complete confidence that even the held back footage won't stop the rangers and rangers media stories being dangerously and willfully facetious, as evidenced by the footage we have seen such as Wallace strolling off pitch and Mrs millers words, but if you maintain it is two players and then footage shows it being three the moronic knuckle draggers will take that as an argumentative victory. I had the pleasure of seeing in reddit an album of pictures the rangers fans have collated. About 200 photos of hibs fans celebrating their win on the pitch, with the moron swinging at Wallace thrown in for good measure, yet gers fans saying they've made it so to help police identify criminals and have zoomed in and cropped every face. Delighted at the fact some sad b****** has spent hours working on that to only prove hibs fans celebrated winning the cup
  17. Interesting to see someone with the ability to remain calm and neutral on the subject (unlike me) simply prove with evidence that the Rangers excuse for entering the pitch is bollocks, all the players had left before it happened. There is no doubt in my mind Rangers should be charged by the SFA for bringing the game into disrepute for the statement (as well as charges against both clubs for supporters actions)
  18. New rangers club statement is again a disgrace to Scottish football. Can't believe they are allowed to get away with this filth
  19. Just because their are one or two pics of Gers players getting cuffed ears from hibs fans (shameful but not at all consistent with Rangers clubs claims), it is laughable to think that this can be used as an excuse by Gers fans to enter pitch, nor would it for Saints fans in same scenario. That isn't even me on a high horse demanding restraint but simply pointing out there is no ****ing way gers fans could have seen the assaults amongst the thousands of people on the pitch from their own stand. All they saw was hibs fans on pitch so they ran on to fight them. There is absolutely no defence at all.
  20. Yeah I too have seen video showing a small number of fans attacking two of players. As said before these morons deserve arresting. It's still a far cry from the initial media reports and rangers claims. I also saw footage of a blazered rangers official swinging a kick at a hibs fan. Pretty sure club officials should be held to higher standard than fans..
  21. I'm sure there were despicable acts by jibs fans towards rangers players, but the embellishment is shameful. Imagine a world in which we could discuss today's events without an all-encompassing media sectarian bias and blind faith on behalf of large sections of the public. My little brain can barely handle the idea
